Re: # 31
Vaise I am surprised at this! Panjabi Mussalmans are totally men of clay when it come to leadership or initiative apart from being extremely vicious and uncouth. They are ideal army Subedars or police havildars.
I mean in all of their history they have always been ruled by outsiders except Zia and that too there was Gen Chishti who planned the coup who I think was a Muhajir. Nawaz as his stepson is a continuation.
So this show of backbone comes as a surprise.
I think Ayaz Amir hit the nail on the head when he recalled his fathers advice to Bhutto departing for Simla when he called MNA's to ask for their views and he said "why are you asking them [the Punjabi MNA's for their views]if Mrs G came here riding on a tank they would welcome her with folded hands and garlands"
What do you attribute this sudden input of backbone/leadership/inititive to???

Re: # 46; madani sahib
This is all part of life's swings and roundabouts sir. It is unfortunate that India and Pakistan havn't been able to resolve their issues and taking one look at this website, one doesn't have to think too hard as to why that is.
It seems the 'pride without substance' has taken over rational thought and the consequences are, as usual, for the poor to bear. One hears all these stories about Kashmir, now Hydrabad aparently, and then one looks at the rest of the world (the civilised part, i.e.,) and after putting everything in perspective, its hard to work out what the fuss is about.
Anyway, you guys have got it covered and want Kashmir (what the hell for, I don't know - given we can't even administer the rule of law and respect for institutions in what we already have). We are forced (by whom?) to give semi-autonomy to the barbarians over parts of the country but when the same, very legitimate, request is made elsewhere (Sindh, Saraiki province, for instance), we cannot do the same; have you asked yourself why?
The whole place, and the state of mind of its so-called 'intellectuals' drives me to despair...they, in reality, don't want to abolish poverty, provide education and healthcare.....if all that was universally provided to all than whose pictures are we going to brandish around to get sympathy for 'the cause'?
We get insulted so easily...why? We have contributed absolutely nothing to humanity but still talk big....why?....our national literacy rate is barely 30 percent but we 'pretend' to be an educated lot....why?....we have one of world's poorest figures in infant and maternal mortality but we avoid talking about it by distracting ourselves to look at 'others' problems and find the comparisons gratifying....why?....and above all, we haven't even learnt to live with some level of civilty in THIS world, but are pretty confident about the luxuries of the NEXT....why? Madani sahib, if God thought much of us he wouldn't desert us in any world, THIS one or the NEXT.
Is it because it is the easiest cop-out we can satisfy our 'unsubstantiated pride' with big words to appease our lack of self-worth?
It is all complete shambles; I came to this site to 're-acquaint' myself with the land and its culture that I left behind....I am not sure I have anything in common with the 'people of that land'...but it still hurts nevertheless....may be you can answer why that is?

For once maybe what you said was true.
Situation in pak is worse than I thought, though not as bad as India.
Maybe when it comes to Pak there are truly some peons of the west.
But what is the alternative???????

I have been told you fkng Pakistani (West Punjabi) by a low caste East Punjabi (all East Punjabis are low caste, kamine, karkun, haraamzade, phuddu, shoodar, mirasi, bhand, nai, dhobi, teli, kutte, kamzarf, neech, beghairat, lifafe, lote)we gave your country such a gr8 PM Mian ji and you gave us this chooth Manu Singh.
I have been hit below the belt and just below it.
It shows all Hindus take note that even low caste East Punjabis (all East Punjabis are low caste, kamine, karkun, haraamzade, phuddu, shoodar, mirasi, bhand, nai, dhobi, teli, kutte, kamzarf, neech, beghairat, lifafe, lote) are capable of doing gr8 things so one should avoid caste discrimination and unnecessary caste pride
EXCEPT when it comes to East Punjabis (all East Punjabis are low caste, kamine, karkun, haraamzade, phuddu, shoodar, mirasi, bhand, nai, dhobi, teli, kutte, kamzarf, neech, beghairat, lifafe, lote)

Re: # 45 Quaid was fabolously rich and good investments in indian companies. He gave rights to his daughter like all bombay gas shares went to his loving daughter.
If our people have put worth 2 billuions in enemy equity markets my feeling is unaccounted at least 100 billion investment outside in friendly countries of arab lands , china ,usa, etc done illeagally.
Like oil prospects may Zardari but people to look for "Mining" and taking out this money it will pay for mext 5 years oil bills. Locating money may be easier than finding oil. Really GOP knows all- problem all are involved from unwashed ( hamid's pyre) to sofesticated like fatima Bhutto to baloch sardars. It is open secret we have shortage of money but shortage of ethicsa. Some time I feel it is poetic justice who help and comfort enemy country which broke pakistan and this greedy were interested in money making and helping to upgrade pathetic famoue hindu growth rate. Some people may find this as allah's wrath for blasfamous activities like zina sex , more worst aiding enemy who usurped Nizam state and Kashmir state big part. Good punishment greedy people. But I hope they get justice.

Indian Back stabbimng and many milliowners are living poor life.
Investment in enemy companies is like feeding snake or drink liquor and now read and cry.
18,500 Pakistanis deprived of billions
NEW DELHI, May 25: About 18,560 Pakistanis have been deprived of billions of rupees accumulated on returns of shares in Indian firms they had bought before 1965.
India seized the shares bought by Pakistanis in 558 Indian companies after the 1965 war. These shares are lying with the Office of Custodians of Enemy Properties under the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs following a notification issued by the government in 1968.
The Indian government is undecided about the fate of these shares.
Media reports, citing the record of the department, said that the capitalised amount of five shareholders in Indian companies was about Rs109.6 billion. These companies are the high-profile Indian entities such as Wipro, Cipla, five companies of the Tata group, ACC and three companies of the DCM group.
Similarly, two Pakistani stakeholders have 10 million shares of Wipro, the world’s largest independent R&D services provider, valued at about Rs50.4 billion. Thirty-four Pakistanis have shares in pharmaceutical major Cipla worth Rs48.2 billion.
In four companies of Tata Motors, Tata Power, Tata Steel, Tata Chemicals and Tata Coffee, Pakistanis have shares worth Rs48 million.
Pakistanis invested in Indian companies including Hindustan Unilever, ITC DLF, Bajaj Electricals, CSCE, Reliance energies, EIH, Aditya Birla, Nuvo, India Cement, Dalmia Cement and Ballarpur Industries before 1965.
According to an assessment of the custodian office, the value of the shares owned by Pakistanis in the listed 45 Indian companies is Rs18 billion.
Indian newspaper the Economic Times contested the figures of the custodian department and said that Pakistanis had far more shares in the companies than revealed by the department.
The custodians have recorded 1.6 million Pakistani shares in Wipro. But, the company sources say there are 10 million Pakistani shares.
Similarly, there are 23 million shares of Pakistanis in Cipla, but the department has recorded only 1.1 million shares, the paper said.—APP
