Yes, your break from chowk was well deserved :).

I've been good, trying to understand the multi-faceted and complex religion that's Mirzaism. I even read the 200 page pdf document that was sent in to the National Assembly in which Mirzais explained their stance on khatm-e-nabuwaat. Actually there was little in the way of explanation...it was mostly pointing accusatory fingers at other sects, religions etc.

I was always for cutting some slack for the Qadianis - after all there is no point about getting selfish when it comes to religious nomenclature. Unfortunately, these guys are so adamant regarding their hatered for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that they smell worse than Brahmins bathing in the "bolluted" waters near Benares.

My dear one-dimensional Jang,
I realize that you like to discuss only the elements that suit you or bring embarrassment for Pakistan. Unfortunately for your narrow objective, this issue is much more complicated than cheerleading for human rights, universal education, and save the whales. It's like trying to restrict the discussion to "India shining" without discussing the plight of dalits, the murders in Gujarat, or the high rate of inflation.

Well, the prevailing "slave status" of pakis may not be entirely j-man's fault...pakis in general screwed up their priorities and hence landed up where they are today...

J-man shouldn't have played such a religion-inspired hate game, that was really a stupid thing to do... but having had a country for themselves, pakis could have managed it much differently... it was entirely within realm of possibility...

Manto is an idiot. He's also an opportunist, an airhead, and an intellectually inferior gnat.

It's useless arguing with him...a waste of time and energy.

What disapoints me the most though, is that Manto is the type of moron that her majesty's imperial broadcasting services like to interview, which in turn gives a broader platform to mediocrity.

The good thing about Manto? Well he does kick injun ass like nobody's business. So props to him for that.
