News I had been waiting for has arrived. First major sign of iraquisation is about to happen, a region with all of teh paki military establishment will be wiped out by the jihadis. All of the other militia will be slaughtered. Once this is confirmed, the B52s will roll in. NWFP is no more part of pakistan, it should be part of afghanistan, definitely with the mighty paki army withdrawing from teh afghan frontiers.
Emboldened militants set sights on Peshawar
By Ismail Khan
PESHAWAR, June 24: The security situation in Peshawar is grim. Officials in the home department, who evaluate the situation on an almost daily basis, believe declaring a state of red alert is now only a matter of time.
With militants knocking at the gates of the capital of the NWFP, even the more circumspect government and police officials now grudgingly concede that Peshawar, too, could fall in a few months.
“Peshawar is in a state of siege and if Peshawar falls, the rest of the districts in the NWFP would fall like ninepins, a worried senior government official told Dawn.

These people have no interest in welfare of Afghani people or anybody else.
Are you saying Pakistan is interested in the Afghans' welfare? If so, from 1989, the year the Soviets left till 2001/2 (when the US invaded Afghanistan in the aftermath of 9/11), Pakistan all but turned Afghanistan to rubble by providing arms to its favorites and encouraging them to fight it out amongst themselves. Why blame the US alone when you need to look no further than your own backyard?
To be a leader among nations you need resources, guts and lots of brains.
If India doesn't have any of these, do you think Pakistan has it? If so, why the need to bend over everytime there's a phone call from the State Department?

For #45
Durand line only a notional border. If you had good knowledge of the area you would know it. Puhtuns move across the border for economic reasons all the time. They want to rule Afghanistan and nobody can stop them and they will have a share of power in Pakistan relative to their strength. Another landlocked country will will not improve their position.
For #46
Bush is history. Soon Americans policy is going to turn using soft power. I would leave that to you to figure out the implication.
The question I ask is as to why NATO is in Afghanistan? Your answer would be to fight war on terror. You could not be more wrong.
Now consider the fact that NATO/US/Iran agree to put forces to support a minority regime there. This was to stop the flow of energy resources from central Asia to major consumers in Asia (China and India). This forces the energy to flow west to EU and at better price
These people have no interest in welfare of Afghani people or anybody else.
So how is India coming out of this game so far?
To be a leader among nations you need resources, guts and lots of brains.
I have a life to live so I wont be posting often.

I support full proxy war in Kashmir)
You have already been doing that for the last 19 years without any results.
(If Indians use air force against Kashmiris then provide them stingers.)
It is a game both sides can play. And unlike Pakistan, a Muslim state, which has been using airforce against its own citizens, India in spite of being a Hindoo majority state, hasnt done the same.
(Trust me Indians can not sustain a war with us.)
They have been for the last 20 years.
Imagine that a whole year changed from one paragraph to the next one.

WHY NO MULLAH IN 60 YEARS OF PAKI HISTORY,NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT LAHORE'S HEERA MUNDI,THIS IS GENICIDE OF PUKHTOON NATION.
Majority of those who keep the heera mundi going consists of desperadoes from frontier.
But talking about the Heera Mundi makes you an infiltrator, how in the world did you go that deep into Pakistan's territory dear Karzai admirer? and you still chose to call yourself Khyber which is another act of infringement

KHYBER sahib get a life. You are talking and talking and talking about pakhtoons and pakhtoons and pakhtoons. If you are such a big fan of karazai you should enjoy your sweet stay in afghanistan under the miraculous and blessed rule of NATO forces. I hope you will find it thrilling. Open your eyes and tell me one motive even one motive for pakistan to destabilize afghani government. As you said ISI backed the terrorists, to let you know the truth Afghanistan has always been the strategic depth for Pakistan in times of wars. And Pakistan has enough problems to deal with, rest assured Afghanistan is not among them nor the petty talks of Karzai.
Whenever there is an outside ruling body in a country there are two kinds of people. Happy people and NOT happy people.
Happy people enjoy being slaves, unhappy people enjoy being martyrs.
The people you are calling terrorists are fighting for Afghanistan not Pakistan. So the PAKHTOONS can live a liberated and islamic life which i am sorry to say a specific group of pakhtoons don't want because they enjoy being slaves.
Such a pity that Afghanistan dummy ruler is Hamid Karzai.Who doesn't know what to talk when to talk and how to talk. His words can only make americans happy. Such empty words. Resolve is needed for such words which Hamid sahib doesn't even have.
Pakistan is paying a heavy price for being an ally on a war of terror. More suicide bombings more killings. And to put the blame on Pakistan for the suicide bombings that is ridiculous. When you kill whole families by air raids and brutal attacks , those who are left have nothing to do in revenge except dying to kill those who killed their beloved ones. This is a chian which has no end no start.
Pakhtoons will get what they deserve as pakistanis are getting what we deserved for doing wrong to the innocent people in Waziristan and tribal areas on the name of fight aginst terror.

{"you're bragging about what will happen in the future...
if wishes were horses, pakis would ride... "}
Arjun,
And you are stuck in the recent past recycling the stale mantra of the neo-cons. Soon you will go the way of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and others. When Cheney's cousin gets inaugurated, you guys will see a marked difference about the way a responsible President conducts foreign policy. Ride 'em shoot 'em days are over and a new sheriff is coming to town. I am predicting the future.
...and BTW, the shine in "India Shining" is also over inflated.
