What a pleasant and well-synchronized nostalgia, much appreciated. No offence, but I also have a precedent of such a happening. I remember when one of our class-fellow got admitted in Sheikh Zayd Hospital, couple of our female class-fellows picked flowers from the gardens of Punjab University (New Campus) to offer him a flower bouquet.
“I never picked flowers again without glancing over my back. it’s what we need to consider, having said that we should be vigilant enough to respond the voice like the one you had from your brother. Life offers such a chance quite often, once missed may take ages to re-visit us.
Keep it up...
Take care and keep praying

Salma....as always absolutely beautiful. The descriptions are so vivid, one could close one's eyes, see, smell, reach out and touch the flowers in that garden!

bravo!

Salma , your article is more like a short film script ...why don't you sell it to me as a film script ?

Thanks. This is part of a series of short stories from my childhood experiences and was written in 2000.

This garden does not exist anymore - the house has long been demolised except in my memories. Grateful for your appreciation.

Beauuuuuutifull.....what an intense, touchy and wonderful depiction of a little incident down from the memory lane. Very nicely written.
