I dont think GoP has gone and let the germs into the system (water system in this case for the loose motions). Rather they must have given up on cleaning/purifying the water and allowing the people to use dirty/contaminated/unpurified water! Old fashioned neglect and short-sightedness, can be used as a form of germ warfare.

... are you suggesting that gop is using germ warfare against the swati taliban ? ....if so, it is the first right thing they have done since ousting musharraf .... however, i suspect this thing has more to do with the personal hygiene and sanitary standards of the swatis ...... the people of the subcontinent - horrible hindoos and pakis alike - are the filthiest folks on the planet ....... i am surprised the species has survived

Interestingly, a mysterious epidemic has developed around Swat in far off places not connected by water supply lines. Doctors think it is a strain of Gastro. The symptoms are the same everywhere.
