His is an inspiring story, one that will be written as a folklore in the hearts of a people. Here is proof that there is always a way to funnel your passion to accomplish a dream, a goal, something worthwhile, something beautiful, something that as tacit collateral will echo in eternity.

The CIA man was carrying fake passports and multiple identities:
CNN
(CNN) -- A Pakistani man with dual U.S. citizenship was questioned and released after being detained in a dangerous area of Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province, Pakistani police said Tuesday.
Jawad Ali, a resident of Peshawar, was carrying a U.S. passport when he was detained Monday in a "red zone" area in the village of Shabqadar, said Charsadda District police officer Waqif Khan. Police questioned Ali, told him the area is dangerous and asked him to go back home, Khan said.
Ali's father is a cab driver in the United States, Khan said.
Initial reports on the incident Monday identified Ali as a U.S. student from Florida named Jude Kenan. Khan said he was not aware of an American named Jude Kenan.
U.S. Embassy officials in Islamabad said Monday they had no knowledge of an American being detained.

Tahmed sahib, I have been doing a lot of good writing lately. Why don't you encourage your CIA friends related to Chowk Staff to let them publish some of my work.

masadi sahib: have a cup of tea, sahib. Then take a deep breath. Then ask yourself: "Am I really insane? Or merely feigning insanity?" I urge you to give the matter serious thought. I am getting worried about you.

Another CIA man arrested in Pakistan, possibly supplying the Taliban:
Young American arrested in Pakistan near Afghan border
October 13, 2008 16:25 EDT
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) -- Police in Pakistan say they've arrested a 20-year-old man near the Afghan border who says he's a college student from Florida.
A police spokesman says the young man was wearing traditional Pakistani clothes but offered an American passport at a checkpoint. He's identified as Juddi Kenan. Pakistani police say Kenan told them he was in the region to see a friend.
The place where the young man was arrested is an area where Pakistani troops are fighting Taliban and al-Qaida militants. It's believed a possible hiding place for Osama bin Laden and other foreign extremists. The young man did not have permission to be there.
Police say he's been taken to an unknown location for more questioning. A U.S. embassy spokesman says he has no information on the arrest.

Tahmed writes "The taliban have an excuse - they are animals"
Ahmad sahib salam and greetings of peace. Nice tactic of demonization, homogenizing a group similar to what your white masters did with the African Americans and the rest of whom they saw as "colored" folk. Keep up the barbarism tradition of your masters. The "Taliban" are the objectification of the caricature of Islam drawn by your masters, animal or not, they were conceived by the American mind and therefore reflect their psyche more than anything regarding Islam or Pakistan....
Have a nice day and take a long hike off a short ledge,

Hi Ras, sorry it took so long to get to this, what a heart-warming piece!
"The mountain people of the area take their friendships very seriously"
lol, I also like that now he's being given the "sitar-e-pakistan" award, sooo sweet! We got some people.
-----------
Ras, I don't know much about Chowk, and I have too much of a sense of humor to really stay serious too long, and I think Chowk has a wonderful audience -- they are serious, sober and intellectual.
I've been on other sites, American & Canadian, and there's too much talk, and too little listening, and oh yes, how could i forget this, too much 'proper conduct'
At Chowk, on the other hand, everyone is more than willing to 'read' wants to read, and better still, fight for or against what they read.
We're definitely not a formal audience, are we!

Mr. Edhi would not have evoked such a worshipful reaction from the enslaved had he spoken good words about Islam, though I do question Edhian tactics as well, he follows the World Bank methodology of revolution preventing help at critical spots, that amounts to less than a drop in the ocean.
Your CIA man is even less than a hundredths of a half a drop in the ocean of Western generated poverty in Pakistan, I would send him and his kind on a "leap" out of the country, and you and your type of apologists and deal makers as well....

Mr. Masadi: The evil American Mortenson works to build schools in Pakistan. The saintly taliban burn those schools along with other girls schools.
The evil American Salk works to develop prevention against polio. The brave saintly taliban tell parents not to take those drops.
The taliban have an excuse - they are animals. What is your excuse?

I agree with masadi, another tahmaed like apologist for the barbaric tribes. third cup is lasting friendship, so when is karo kari carried out, that is with starbucks cofee I presume. How about the system of giving away small girl children per jirga rules, that should be after a few drinks of local gooch.
Some silly americal is all excited about the tribals...the pakistanis eager to get some positive comments about their society is all ga ga about it.
