Chisti sahib,
QIM was a horrifying blunder and biassed Brits against the Hindoos and INC. Had JLN not succeeded in seducing the Mountbottoms, consequences could have been dangerous for India/Hindoos.

Re: # 56,
I am still looking for alternatives, solutions?
While I agree that Zardari absolutely worst of the lot but he’s a constituently elected president of the nation and if we start judging politicians from our manufactured, “historical perspectives – they are all of the same breed.
There’s unfortunately no alternatives – I seriously wish we had one but there are none so better stick to it with Khursheed Shah’s Kundas, Bijarani’s Educational Ministry, Zehri’s Views Regarding Women, Prime Minister’s Sister Letter pad and Zardari’s smiles….we are stuck with them …….
The point is how to coup up with the situation without further destabilizing the government – that could be done by a strict monitory policy and a strong opposition.

Nkg,
Re: 54
How will they migrate, what will be modality of exchange of populationbut at that time (194x) it would have been great logistic headache....
There was an exchange of population in Punjab in 1947, there could and should have been a similar exchange in Bengal and Assam as well. Most of the EB Hindoo population was in close vicinity to the border- Sylhet, Dinjapur, Khulan, Jessor etc and most WB/Assam Muslim population in border distt like Murshidabad, Malda, Nadia etc. Logistically it was very feasible.
But it didnt happen thanks to Maulana Gandhi and a local quisling called Joginder Nath Mandal.

That is the only good thing the CPI ever did but having realised that they now completely disown that part of their history...."
Yes...Jyoti Basu is still alive among these bunch of scoundrels...
Actualy, you may not like commies, but they are the greatest hindutwavadi party in India in disguise...most of their leaders are from upper caste and they know, immediate partition will not create problem for land owner class. They can sell their land or take their movable assette to any part of India and can live peacefully rather than be governed by Surawardy etc....
But then, what about the farmers and fishermen folk. How will they migrate, what will be modality of exchange of population...in today's term substituting a mosla in West Bengal with that from a Bangladeshi in East may not be matter of concern, but at that time (194x) it would have been great logistic headache....

"...beloved Mumbai..."
What a bas****!!!! I believe I am not part of nation X ( there is no historical basis for that) and then again, I will keep my belonging to that place associated with X...
You know, creation of Bangladesh prooved, how wrong he was...
Jinah had done is great service to India. Congress mixed up everything and created this mess. But then, there is no point glorifying this Jinnah fellow...

Manto...
Jinnah was almost a non-entity as per as quit india movement is concerned. Wny Brits will dislike him? If there was any animosity of Brit Govt. that was against Congress and its leaders and they have banned Vande Mataram several times.....
The initial movement was to see the power transition happens from Brits to Indians smoothly...the rest of the division along, beduine followers could have carried out in steps and over long period of time. Again, you are denying that DAD was started in Calcutta and that spread in Bihar....

Nkg moshai,
MAJ (pbuh) had never imagined India and Pakistan to be hostile enemies, he thought of the Partition as a peaceful parting of ways between two countries which will co-operate on most matters particularly foreign affairs and defence. That is why he had no hesitation in keeping contacts in India he alive, he wnated to spend his last days in his beloved Mumbai.

"Jinnah's relatives did not migrate to Pakistan? You know why? because Jinnah was a polished democratic politician with political honesty, he never played games...honesty and hard work was his best policy...his relatives made their choices and he didn't force them. That shows his true democratic character...."
You are leader of two nation theory and keeping property and close relatives in places, what you do not feel as part fo your nation!!! This is honesty!!!!
"Jinnah never created such chaos, get your reality check...
Yes, Hindus and their brothers Sikhs did not accept Pakistan and got angry to the extent that they started butchering People and that got in to retaliation....
This butchering was supported by your British Masters who wished to create a chaos and butchering because they never were sincere in giving freedom to India and Pakistan.....
"
That is wrong information you have collected...It is like history of Pakiland started with invastion of Muhammed-Bin-Kashim. Nothing was there in that land before (apart from 3000 year BC IVC. What about the intermediate period? It is like missing days of Gregarian calender)
Direct action day started in Calcutta. The Statesman/The Englishman recorded the events quite well...Please collect it. NB/Majumder may help you....The events in Bihar and Punjab is follow up of that....

Yasser/Afat,
Afat mian has a point. Although MAJ (pbuh) tried to make ML a progressive body for the regeneration of Muslim India, he and his movement was supported (and eventually hijacked) by the feudal elite and toadies for their own narrow motives.

When we who write is like a cry of wounded bird , let us have atleast freedom to scream when in pain. This not like reading report from war front we are at front we do not want to be told by persons living 10000 miles away what we shopuld feel. We understand all and we feel about Bhuttos , Z to understand all is to forgive all. I really can not bear some little educated person telling me madani does not understand. Actually I am very modest in stating about myself all time as need no cerificate from anybody . It is time for natives to tell expaks to be little humble and less insulting to natives. I write and work in areas of mathematics which is even difficult to understand for "intelluctual people" who spents years, these can not be taught only people with great mental ability can understand with great depth. Please stop calling bad names and bad talking. good day. I am provoked by stupidity and arrogence of bafoons and professionally successful settle abroad. I will just stop as no pint in feeling bad it depresses me lot when some body tells me I do not understand. Good wishes to all and request for forgivance.
Good day.
Good day.
