Are you the creator of the alpha and the omega? You have created nothing, zilch!

Chittagong, thanks for the link. Excellent presentations of the common Pakistani view, although not what we would like to hear.

Congratulations ChowQ-Stuffed!
You've proven once again that non-writers can generate 20,000 hits in six days!
Keep writing; one day you will all be writers instead of editors.

Living up to your thugee genes as usual you are trying to stretch the facts once again...and we know that when you resort to name calling you are on very dicey ground...so take a grip on yourself...if a lion is a looter and a cow a goddess than Central Asian conquerors were also looters...if a cow being grappled to the ground and being eaten by a lion is like a little damsel in distress...then that I suppose could be the relationship between the central asian conquerors and your India...and the conquerors always ruled from Delhi as every one knows so well

Goldfinger #687 you are right - first it was the lashkars that offered to fight India (ignoring the taliban).
but then there was this fascinating piece of news hidden in the online News - the very taliban that the government had been fighting have suddenly turned "patriot" and offered to fight shoulder to shoulder with the same Pakistan Army that they had been fighting just the day before!! And who was this "army official" who suddenly came out of the woodwork?? So, there is a plausible case that the purpose of mumbai was to create tensions between India and Pakistan, thus forcing the army to stop attacking the taliban. As it had been doing, freed from Musharraf's double games of building up terrorist nests in Pakistan, and with the encouragement of the civilian government, was after all these years finally going after these animals hammer and tongs (or planes and tanks, to be more accurate).
Army official calls Baitullah Mehsud, Fazlullah ‘patriots’
All main militant groups fighting in Fata, from South Waziristan to Bajaur and from Mohmand to the Khyber Agency, have contacted the government through different sources after the Mumbai bombings and have offered a ceasefire if the Pakistan Army also stops its operations.
And as a positive sign that this ceasefire offer may be accepted, the Pakistan Army has, as a first step, declared before the media some notorious militant commanders, including Baitullah Mehsud and Maulvi Fazlullah, as “patriotic Pakistanis.
These two militant commanders are fighting the Army for the last four years and have invariably been accused of terrorism against Pakistan but the aftermath of the Mumbai carnage has suddenly turned terrorists into patriots.
A top security official told a group of senior journalists on Saturday: “We have no big issues with the militants in Fata. We have only some misunderstandings with Baitullah Mehsud and Fazlullah. These misunderstandings could be removed through dialogue.

buba.....
Russia will like to see US,UK fighting more war on terror/islam...they will be able to f*** the Chechen muslas peacefully....Pakiland is non issue for Russia (for terrorism) and Afghanistan is still a battleground for NATO....Iran will get protection from Russia...China is non entity if France sides with US and UK....
with loosing monopoly over india, Russia is now more eager to go for petty deals with Pakiland (mining, RD33 sell etc...). At least this war on terror will keep NATO on tenterhook and NATO expansion will be little slow....

Meanwhile the Israelis (one of the proudest feathers in hinndu's cap) are totally pissed off at the performance of the Black Cats since they think that probably more of the hostages were killed by bullets from Indi commandos than by the terrorists...so much for their voodoo magic!
Yaar GF, here goes your hope!

"Charges by the head of the Zaka team in Mumbai reported in The Jerusalem Post on Monday that the Jewish hostages in the Chabad House may have been killed by Indian commandos, and not by the terrorists, infuriated the Foreign Ministry, with one official saying that these types of "irresponsible comments" can have serious diplomatic repercussions.
"How can they say such a thing?" one official said. "Did they do an autopsy, do they know what type of bullet caused the wound? Do they have forensic or ballistic expertise? This is not the type of thing you can determine just by looking at a body.""
So think before you talk the next time.

Hey dude, this is what I suggested for a few days now, and it seems that someone is reading Chowk, and articulating my pov....
----------------------
Rather than simply begging the Indians to show restraint, a better option could be to internationalize the response. Have the international community declare that parts of Pakistan have become ungovernable and a menace to international security. Establish an international force to work with the Pakistanis to root out terrorist camps in Kashmir as well as in the tribal areas. This would have the advantage of preventing a direct military confrontation between India and Pakistan. It might also save face for the Pakistani government, since the international community would be helping the central government reestablish its authority in areas where it has lost it. But whether or not Islamabad is happy, don't the international community and the United States, at the end of the day, have some obligation to demonstrate to the Indian people that we take attacks on them as seriously as we take attacks on ourselves?
Would the U.N. Security Council authorize such action? China has been Pakistan's ally and protector, and Russia might have its own reasons for opposing a resolution. Neither likes the idea of breaking down the walls of national sovereignty -- except, in Russia's case, in Georgia -- which is why they block foreign pressure on Sudan concerning Darfur, and on Iran and other rogue states. This would be yet another test of whether China and Russia, supposed allies in the war against terrorism, are really interested in fighting terrorism outside their own borders. But if such an action were under consideration at the United Nations, that might be enough to gain Pakistan's voluntary cooperation. Either way, it would be useful for the United States, Europe and other nations to begin establishing the principle that Pakistan and other states that harbor terrorists should not take their sovereignty for granted. In the 21st century, sovereign rights need to be earned.
