Beena Sarwar December 2, 2008

very sensible. i think pakistanis sarkar (or chanda giving public) should wait till there is a lull and then do random acts of brotherly love by suddenly capturing LeT guys and handing them over to Taj Hotel staff for mehman-navaji. no point waiting for the next round of spat.

blah blah blah...Beena Sarwar should organize a milion man march in Pakistan to condemn the islamic terrorists..remember those marches for the droppy eyed judge, for palestine, against Iraq, against the mohammed cartoons....lets see if she can do that. talk is cheap. (lock up the KFC first)

Beena, these are nice words but they are only words. They really have no other or additional meaning. A committed terrorist can utter these words and go on to re-join a bombing squad.
Hopefully there will follow something more than words. Else, like it or not, Indians would lose, but the biggest losers will be Pakistanis like you, who write these long and big words.
Unfair perhaps but true. This is your baby. You are saying you can control it. Hopefully you will. For your own sake. Because Indians are so distressed that an Indian has to be totally dumb to be taken in by words any more.

waht we will like to see is some concrete actions and clear articulation of steps to be taken to suppress and defeat the paki-grown terrorism... Enough with same old tired rhetoric and sweet-nothing words which make no difference on ground...

[...Mohsin Hamid... warning that India’s rush to implicate Pakistan is a "dangerous mistake"...]
yep, pakis are giving warnings after warnings - that's going to work very well... don't blame us, don't implicate us, we are pure as driven snow, there is no way pakis could have done this...
chutiya pakis...

Beena, I would very much appreciate your thoughts on the following. The objective is to figure out what your and zardari's relevance is to anything to do with India or the rest of the world. And if you are irrelevant to anything to do with India, in particular, why should anyone here waste their time with you. Is it only that there is 'no alternative' to you or that, many believe, alternatives to you are 'worse' than you?
I am c&ping the following from your other board:
Pew_Research and Other Indians
I am still not quite sure what use Beena Sarwars and Asif Zardaris of Pakistan are to India (or to the rest of mankind).
They have no control over Pakistani military or Pakistan's Islamic militants, so anything to do with India is out of their hands.
Is any of us hoping that either with our moral support or without it Beena Sarwars and Asif Zardaris will grow strong enough to overpower Pakistani military and Pakistan's Islamic militants? If not, why waste time with either?
That FATA fight has nothing to do with us. It is an internal fight within Pakistani family, between two members of the family who have no difference between them when it comes to India - the military and the militants. Neither care two hoots for Beena Sarwar and Asif Zardari either.
So, what's the point? Again, is this the same old "no alternative" factor or something different we expect from Pakistan?

Zardari on Larry King - some observations.
Overall performance - pretty fair - great improvement over Mushy.
Biggest mistake - Zardari should have said WWI and not WWII for the war started by a fanatic terrorist. He was talking about the Austrian Duke assassinated by the Serbian dude in Sarajevo in 1914.
Missed opportunity - Zardari should have stressed over and over (not just once) that he is one of the most obvious victims of these terrorist groups - after all his wonderful wife, BB, was cruelly killed by them. Also, Zardari should have countered that Pakistanis are now paying for the residue from the Soviet occupation and the ensuing "freedom" struggle in which Afghans, Pakis, Soodis, AND Americans cooperated with money, guns, and intrigue, including JIHAD. That unholy alliance created robotic fanatics and today you have the results of that policy, for which there is plenty of blame to go around.
Best performance - Zardari's response regarding what he will do if evidence is provided for the named individuals India is accusing of masterminding the attacks - Zardari said that Pakistan would try these people, and if found guilty, they would be sentenced IN PAKISTAN. So much for the Injun ultimatum to turn over the 20 odd people.
Pretty good overall, I would say - So glad that Mushy is gone. Also, Zardari had some very positive and optimistic things to say about his desire for good relations and cooperation with India.

If you feel so much stop stuffing chanda boxes and supporting the 'freedom fighters' in Kashmir.

You know you goody two shows tinpots probably see all the hate speech in your local media, forums, friend circles. Why don't you give them your sermon and ask them to stop the attack on innocent Indians who have no power to influence the Government decision? Asking us to show restraint is like asking a one legged man to get into a butt kicking contest.

kaal mian,
... you give the pakis too much credit ..... i will bet you a kilo of karahi gosht to a measely dosa that most of the terrorists were local indian moslems ..... initially there were reports that some of them had been staying at the two hotels for many days prior to the attack and then the story was mysteriously died ....... there is no way that a bunch of village idiots from pakistan can land on the beach in a city like bombay and find their way to their targets without inside help - they are not israeli commandos ... most of these poor bas*&rds cannot even find their way home after squatting in the fields .....
........ i can see why the indian government is anxious to point the finger at their own homegrown terrorists but it doesn't make the problem go away ........

U.S. and India See Link to Militants in Pakistan
If you Pakistanis really want peace please prove it with deeds rather than words.
Thanks. Looking forward to some meaningful responses from the other side.

Good analysis, but still very generic......everyone knows what Advani has said and he and his associates are quoted everywhere but why are are people like you still afraid of naming the culprits in Pakistan rather than just referring to them as 'religious right in pakistan'?

hamidm u might be right these people might be indian muslims but there is no way they can get this amount of weaponry and explosives without help from outside.

Discussions here are useless.
Jihadis will do what jihadis do.
Pakistanis will do what they do best – for small minority, it consists of looking away and for the rest, actively supporting the jihadis.
Khakis will keep doing what they do best – keep helping the jihadis through “non-state (ISI) actors and providing a cover for them from being attacked by any international forces.
Indians will keep doing what they do best – if it is Sonia, making sure her children can ascend to the throne. If it is BJP, to make sure their leaders get elected. If it is a Congresswalla – keep on licking boots. If it is a Hindu fundamentalist – when get a chance, keep up beating whichever helpless Muslim you can find, while keeping clear of any real troublemakers.
But what the Indians will keep doing in large numbers is – keep dying! Life is cheap in that part of the world.
Discussions here are useless. They might as well go ahead and have an all-out war! Life is cheap in that part of the world any way.
