A good scroll down of "historical evolution", with examples of homo sapiens only no other aliens, who are exceptional from humaniy' s point of view.
Yes,humanity is at the "chowk" of life.and it is at its adolescent stage , it does seem.it is getting taller, day by day, at the expense of food and clothing, therefore it is short of both, in these trying times.it is gawky, and awkward looking and feeling awkward."feeling awkward", very sensitive, easily victim to feelings of guilt and shame.very confused about, and at the same time craving to reach out to the most high values ideological!its parent figures are mostly inconsistent as setters of good examples.its peers are drawing it towards the escapism of drugs and disrespect to social norms, as a reaction to society' s political games playing havoc with humanity' s normal basic rights.hence joblessness and suicide cycles.hence the make or break of low and(when it dawns)high, self esteem-and then the massive mental energy which is released all round the globe, culminating in blind acts of violence.just like a natural catastrophe.nothing to cry about the adolescent says.for it is natural.humanity needs to be told, of course it is natural, but you are not a falling rock, nor an unstoppable torrent.that storm is emanating from you o humanity!and you have the power to control, channelise and construct with it.for humanity' s sake, be master of your own mental energy, and be at peace with yourself and the world.
no matter who you are, just see to it that everyone gets their normal basic rights.just see to it with word, thought and deed.that is the side you would be on, no matter what.

"if not, can you atleast convert to sikhism"
Frankly my friend, BOTH Hindus and Muslims should convert permanently to Sikhism :). There will be peace in the subcontinent and both communities will find a lot in Sikhism that will make them feel right at home.
The only challenge left will be how to conduct peaceful elections in gurdwaras. Lots of Sikhs have not mastered that art yet :).

Urstruly: Your history lesson was off by 9 Gurus and 300 years. :) It is true that Guru Nanak went to Medina but was not there for 13 years. He went to Mecca also. There is a story there..he was sleeping with his feet pointing to the Kaaba. A Mullah came and yelled at him to point his feet at another direction. Guru Nanak asked the Mullah to redirect his feet in a direction where there is no Allah. Hmm, maybe Guru Nanak was a Wahabbi...

hamidm (#325),
You have correctly pointed out: tahmed sahib has a problem if ahmadis follow their prophet. Never mind the arab prophet that tahmed himself follows! Go figure …
… it is this hypocrisy and stupidity that I find irritating. It makes tahmed look like a deluded, self-righteous jerk … and he gets upset when I point this out …
+++
tahmed, unsolicited posts in not an issue. Instead of dealing with facts or ignoring my post, you unnecessarily dragged in the ahmadi issue. Read what you wrote in #123 … and in #122 … you imbecile!
May be you can explain ... what exactly is it about ahmadis that bothers you? We know tahir and urstruly are on jihad ... but what about you... ??

Re: # 331 Tahmed
Do you see how you implicated yourself in the below post, when you stated, "It goes downhill from there."?
If not, let me throw some light:
If by implying that Sattar being an Ahmedi means 'going (further) downhill' you are simply reinforcing the impression of you that everyone here has that it was meant by you to be an affront on Sattar. You see little difference in being abusive and reminding Sattar that he is an Ahmedi.
See, you have so internalized your worldview that you don't even notice your own biases!
Caught you again with your hand in the cookie jar!

Re: # 329 Tahmed
in #331, you write, "Look below at how this started and decide for yourself. It starts here...I wrote #89 below to Dr. Sohail as part of a discussion I was having with him. Sattar2 wrote his unsolicited post in #90 by focussing not on what i was saying but with personal attacks at my own credibility."
You prove my point! Look at what you did in #331- a 'personal attack' on me! Physician, heal thyself.
No wonder nobody takes you seriously.

".... i still don't understand why you mohammedans are so insecure that you feel threatened by a punjabi messiah ..... what if he had been a bedouin and lived in a cave like the rest of them? ....... i find your fascination with arabs fascinating"
hamid, you have nailed it, if we accept a desi prophet its all down hill from there. If we accept one then why not the host of others in the land. Where does this end?
Regards,
Faruk

"sattar is furious at me because i chose to continue rejecting his years' old attempts at having "discussions" with me."
So you think Sattar has crush on you?
Chowk has got a lot more interesting than it used to be...

Re: # 325 Hamidm/Sattar
You have caught the self-righteous, Koranist, lying Tahmed with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar. If this were a jury trial, Tahmed would have been toast.
You guys have won this point hands down.
