I had already answered that question but let me be more specific wrt your questions:

1. Islamic parties did not win any seat in the last election for the same reason that they hurriyet did not win any seat in the Jammu and Kashmir elections, they did not participate in the elections.

2. There is no need for the shariat-pasand Pakistanis to vote for Islamic parties when the non-religious parties promise both shariat and roti-kapada aur makaan. They did not need religious parties to give them a religious constitution, one party almost gave them a complete nizam-e-mustafa.

New hope for tourism in swat

Many pakistanis remeber fondly their travels to swat, green mountain tops with a clear stream meandering through the valley, the summer holiday destination fo rthe many from pak cities.

The fighting over the past few years have decimated the tourism, the elegant hotels are burnt or are empty. Now with the introduction of taliban rule there is hope for the revival of tourism, a lot more than before.

In the cities like islamabad, during eid many throng to the galleries built up so that the children and women can witness the killing of camels. In swat, it will be public beheading, and one can emagine what a spectacular sight that will be. There will be stoning to death as well and children can easily partcipate.

Mullah tahemd sifi has declared that taliban is very in support of tourism in line with sharia an special venues will be built in back drop of the mountains to facilitate sharia compliant tousrim.

Just like sharia compliant banking, it is all matter of promoting it, and swat will be the aorld leader in sharia tourism.

Lady doctor wants sister’s killers arrested

PESHAWAR: A lady doctor Saturday demanded of the president, prime minister, chief justice of Pakistan, NWFP police chief and chairperson of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan to “bring to the task the killers of her sister.�

Addressing a press conference, Dr Fauzia said that “brutal murder� of her sister, Shazia Shaheen, took place on January 29, 2009.

Shazia was married to one Muhammad Ismail who, according to Dr Fauzia, killed her sister in connivance with other family members. She said that the deceased was a highly educated woman and a bank officer.

LAHORE: The city police, after raiding a number of brothels, arrested 33 men and 20 women from different areas of the city on Saturday. Sources in the police said special instructions had been given to the police to take stern action against all brothels. Shahdara Police Station SHO Riaz Abbas said they had received information late on Friday night that a man named Bhola was running a brothel in the jurisdiction, adding that he immediately arranged for a raid. LAHORE: It is permissible to burn the body of a Muslim who died after being bit by a rabid dog, a Dubai cleric said in a fatwa (religious edict) on Saturday.

A private TV channel said doctors at Dubai’s Al-Baraha Hospital had advised against burying the body because they said the virus could harm other people through the soil. The body has not been buried so far.

I don't know about your particular case, but the average Hindu was always MUCH more affluent than the average Muslim - everywhere in the Indian Subcontinent. If you wish to dispute that, just say so, and we can have (hopefully) and objective argument based on documented facts.
