Hi NFP bhai culture, sadly with alot of bad advertisements, come bad headaches, but more than that, a PSEUDO CULTURE - good thing you're calming down, but let me tell you sir, if I was a boy, and you had a crush on me, I'd let you know, je suis femme, of course, did no one figure this out? Jesus.

What next?

Its always nice to talk to you, give me a call sometime soon again. And relax, you have a silky rain voice, as well.
LOL

but R's got the voice of angels, figuring out this PRIEST situation.

LOL

“whatever happened to Islamic socialism? by nfp in Dawn images Sun may 30 2009.thanks for writing this article.particularly.so ends the story;ofa case of ‘socialism’by any other name smells just as sweet.poignant end.epitaph.as long as there is the West and for that matter east, the twain shall never meet.that is capitalism and socialism.the series read as lessons, but what exactly is the lesson we have learnt.tell me are the urban elite ready to be overtaken wealthwise by guerillas who know nothing about things like privatisation and corporate business.do you think their present show of support will wax eloquent in times of a big urban upset?to understand our presnt we need to know our past.thanks nfp for history the journalism way-easy to read, easy to understand and (remember?i wont say that.what you wrote about made headline news some decades back.memory is short, did anybody remember those days?

Re#50 article by NFP DAWN SUNDAY 22 March 2009
[from'in a terrific new documentary called' the revolution will not be televised',director kim bartley...'to....'private television channels that are owned by the country's elite.']
All I can say is remarkable!if we were talking of the country as here and ours, the elite would have differed and disagreed such a lot among themselves that the 'string of private tv channels would have got done up in knots, with their own pointillistic views.there is so muchinfighting and lota-ism that our channels would be changing their direction ever so often, and the colors too would be flashingwith change.and the series would befull of elite groups-backed 'populist' faces telling our tv world and beyond how am I doing and jus' hear me talk!me, me, me.
And for the series of theories and questions....whoa!ONE AT A TIME PLEASE?

Re;#50 "SO WHAT MADE".....and TV spectatorship I mean viewership is no exception.generally people appearing on the tv expect an intelligent appreciationof what they say.but here at masses level, you know our nation still has the crowd mentality.feeds on sensation!
If accidents happen-crowd gathers -gape andgulp, no one helps.if into the foray hero jumps to save a girl from harassment ,crowd gathers to G AND G.hero wins; good.hero gets bashed up.good.now we have 2 versions.
Donkey cart races on roads[not leading to elitist clifton beach]-VVIP movement traffic closed, crowd gathers to G AND G.
TV SHOWS "convoluted" vociferous analysis only of why people blow themselves up, crowd gathers to gulp and gape.new sensational !
AND this has created the monster which feeds the electronic media, and is fed by what speakers say turning it into fodder for sensation .AND when speakers find themselves getting more popular by this feedback anyway ;then they themselves turn into fodder for the monster -an image fodder.and the vicious circle goes on.

Re;#50 CHAVEZ_the play of the word you have created with vowels changing about!put all alphabets in the soup-Alphabet soup.then it will have its own taste.

shows where the idiot box has reached.an excellent follow through of the schism which has developed between the world(politico-religio-technical world) of parents and children.it is m ore difficult for parents to keep an eye on their children because of internet,(parents are ignoramuses technologically speaking)and now tv is going widely digital too!your article cobwebs....see you later...

pinku,

I ve spent one whole year to understand and learn who and what Sufis were or taught. I went to all the major places in Pakistan and India. Read a hell lot of literature, criticism, and their works. Conceived and wrote scripts for a documentary series for a TV channel here.
Now I don't think I want to spend one more minute on this subject, because I have got a short life and a hell lot of things to learn. So spare me!
But...
Let me tell you that my conslusion was: they were naive, simple, sweet and anti-estalishment people. However a few of them like Zikria (FM Qureshi is his Silsila's patron in Multan) were pro-establishment. Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah, Nizamuddin fought against Muslim rulers. If I am not wrong, Nizam stood against Tughlaq. Here in Sindh, one famous Sufi who is regarded a pure socialist in a truer sense of the word, even led a unsucessful peasent revolt. If you want I can send you a book on him. Post me your address.

Read something of Qalandar, Tabrez, Hussain. It will help!

Rest is upto you, cuz I don't champion Sufi ideology, so let me GO!

mojo bhai,

first you should try to know what you want to talk about and then you should tell your understanding to others....

Create a list of sufis or sufi gharanas, check how they developed, where they came from, check what is meant by patronage of rulers and how they helped those rulers and spread of islam, what was their political status..

once you have a bit of understading about some percentage of sufis then you can tell me who they were and whom they fought...

Who are clerics in your knowledge??

I will reply back again. Sufis came with those rulers who they have fought as per your assumption, they worked for those rulers and had political clout..

read about one of the famous sufis, Kwaja Moin ud Din Chisti, check who he was and then write..

Who were minorities in the times of mughals??? the mughals themselves, do you know this??? what do you mean by minority??

pinku,
I don't know if you are a human or an animal. What I do know is that Sufis stood for minorities, fought against Moghal/Other rulers, and preached teachings different than clerics. They were prosecuted as well, by the same Muslim rulers.

On Nasha and stuff, I don't know where you have got it from. Just forget it!

mojo bhai,
I am not a human, but simply an animal, that "cheater" was to convey both intentional and unintentional behavior of sufis. They were just mixing hinduism with islam mostly to bring hindus to islam's fold and under the patronage of sultans/ghazis/muslim rulers, though many of those sufis fell for what they imbibed from hinduism, including "nasha"..

Pinku,

Sufis were the people, who saved and stood for your ancestors from growing Muslim Imperialism, otherwise the persecution could have been much more than what your History books tell you.
You should think twice now before calling them 'cheaters' again.

P.S: Don't worry, I am not any Sufi's follower.

Thank you.

#40 Posted by hamidm2 on
hamidm, those sufis enjoyed the "maja" and "nasha" of hinduism and its idea of God but kept preaching Islam to others, if they were sincere they would told muslims that they don't need to worry about 1 or 1.5 allaha of Islam, they should do this counting of God in hindu ways, where both 1 and infinity are equally good....

Blame it to sufis, the cheaters???

Note: Don't flag it, else I with all that i have said on this site so far, will come in your dreams and will repeat it.....
