a Hindi/Urdoo is not local language of Maharashtra. So, naturaly marathis are not very much associated with the Mumbai Urdoo movie industry in acting field.
b Most of the setup in Mumbai Film Industry was taken up by Bimal Roy etc... I think, he was the first actor/director from Mumbai movie industry to win award in Cannes Film Festival.
c Mumbai movies are excellent product to entertain illiterate/semi literate masses of large part of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh middle east etc...and those living in USA and UK, but qualitatively it is not the best in India. You pakis may like these low quality entertainers, but regional movies in India earned more accolades in Film Festivals (Mosco, Cannes, Berlin etc...) than these sh**...

You forgot Rajesh Khana, no other star had the kind of following he had, when he was on the top.
