nkg,
It is pathetic to note that the educated like tahmed, urstruly etc join in condemning abdus salam and will not dare to say a positive word about him. It is not the fear of isi that prevent them, it is their genuine belief that an ahmadia should not be encouraged.
Higher education does not change the values imbibed in k for kafir primary education.

JayP...
" ...celebrate...."
That is against the basic tenet of beduinism/islam...Abdus Salam should have been executed long back, but somehow he was product of British/Indian style education...BTW, he recived Nobel jointly with others for his research work carried out in UK...
India, we can celebrate at least achievements of couple of other scientists like J C Bose, S N Bose, U N Brahmachari (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upendranath_Brahmachari)...

Mother of all lies,
YLH had been telling that jinnah was againbst deobandis.
It was the head of deoband that led prayers at jinnahs funeral and jinnah was so close to deobands.
/////////from jang of today///////////
Yasir Latif Hamdani in his response (Feb 25) to Rubina Saigol’s article “Myths vs facts about fundamentalism has written that Deoband was by and large opposed to Jinnah and the two-nation theory. Deoband has been the very institution that preserved the popular Muslim belief during the British rule. When Aligarh was training Muslims in science and material sciences, Deoband refused to take any form of financial assistance from the British government. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad opposed the division of India and was influenced by Gandhi. However, Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani rallied to the Pakistan cause and he was the one who led the prayers at Jinnah’s funeral.

if you are referring to this concept as his 'integrity', you are wrong ... had he been someone with integrity, he won't use Majumdar to post on his behalf (happens every time) ... this is simply pathetic! He'd observe the conditions of his ban and 'take it like a man' as you said
I have said before what I think about American imperialism ... and will not repeat that here
as for the horrible hindoos ... the less said the better (laddu .. don't fret, I won't kill you or worse impose jizya ... well not today anyway)
to borrow from hamidm sahib:
Ameer-ul Momineen Keyani Zindabad!

Cheema sahib,
This is what I like about Masadi. If he is banned, he doesn't sign up with a different ID. He's too stubborn to have a crack on...
He takes it like a man, as Tahmed once told crazy Indians who tried to gang up on Masadi.
Good going, Masadi!
I am on your side, on whatever majumdar posted on your behalf.

Posting on the behalf of Masadi sahib, who has again been banned by chowk.
Obama's call for "College for All" (1) is simply to relieve pressure on the labor market. With 2 million jobs lost and 5 million more expected to be lost, some damage control needed to be done to ensure that millions don't roam the streets or develop some form of class consciousness when they see millions in their condition. Whereas "change" is shown by such drastically "humane" rhetoric about "education", the inhumane policies of provoking coups abroad by the U.S. government is still intact.
General Kiyani visits the US (Feb 22), has discussions with the higher officials who tell him (in all probability) that they have "great hopes" for him (as they've told several previous "coup making" generals). (2)
The Pakistani courts (always subservient to the military), following the meetings, dismiss the opposition leaders (Feb, 25) and the ensuing civil disturbances during the past few days will culminate in a possible new martial law, making army rule all the more attractive after its all time low at the end of the Musharraf regime. This is occurring at a strategic point in time, just as the new U.S. administrations (old) plans for Afghanistan
take shape. (3).

"Mother of all speeches", yeah, right. Obama's predecessor, The Duffer, used to get more standing ovations, until he and his team of crooks and chritian religious nuts screwed up their own country to the smithreens. The processes that these thugs have put in place are irreversible; US will need a Churchill or a DeGaul to salvage what can be salvaged of a crumbling empire. And what is Obama? A Bush with black color albiet an eloquoent one. Don't buy into the chorogray of such events.

Pak Navy chief retracts statement on Kasab
Karachi (PTI): Adding to flip-flops over the Mumbai attacks, Pakistan's Navy Chief on Saturday retracted his statement that Ajmal Amir Kasab did not take the sea route and said he backed the Interior Ministry's report that nine terrorists had sailed from Karachi to launch the strikes.
////mother of all statements///yet another stuff up by the paki govt//////////

BANGALORE: Isn’t it time India won another Nobel for science? February 28 is an annual reminder that C V Raman is the only Nobel winner from
India for his discovery of the Raman Effect. On this day 80 years ago, he announced his discovery, and now fittingly celebrated as National Science Day.

That was indeed a great speech,An organized mind at work is a wonderful thing to watch. During his address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, President Barack Obama placed the mind of his presidency on display, and it was wonderfully organized,Obama optimistically sketched an agenda that began with jobs, then broadened quickly to include a stable credit system, better schools, health care reform, reliable domestic sources of energy and an end to the war in Iraq.It was a genuinely outstanding speech. It was magnificent. It is the finest. Thats how leaders make their Nations great and proud,in Pakistan leaders have no clue but they are only interested in power and stealing more money.Do Pakistani politicians talk about how to solve problems like providing clean water, health care, better education , getting rid of load shedding etc???
