Long March - A Long View Analysis

Last year, Pakistan got an elected government after 8 years of dictatorship. PML-N, and Sharif Pehalwans’ shenanigans and calls to rebel are making a mockery of the democratic institution. He did that in 1990s by raiding the Supreme Court and disrupting its functioning. They are once again undermining democratic institution. PML-N should put forward a no confidence motion in the Parliament on the grounds that the Punjab government has been illegally dismissed. They should try to defeat the government in Parliament. If they lose no confidence motion, then at most in five years PML-N will have a chance to take their case public in elections.

PML-N actions clearly show that street protest, and call to rebel are winning and that Pakistan is exposing itself to foreign influence. Sharia in swat showed to some that Zardari was really trying to make an independent policy decision. Now he is being made to dance to foreign tunes, rather than politicians calling for rebellion. Nehru was quite firm is getting rid of communist government in Kerala, no one called for a rebellion or went to the U.S. or England to resolve this crisis. Nawaz Sharif is wrong. Pakistan’s democracy will have such diversity in governance and law from state to state. All politicians should respect and accept such diversity in Pakistan.

In this nascent democracy, Gen. Kiyani and ex-President Musharraff (I know he is not popular in Pakistan) have a role to play to defend the democracy. They should make these politicians battle it out in Parliament. Too much Punjabi Pride is hurt, otherwise Nawaz Sharif should see an alliance with Musharraff. Indira Gandhi did that to get back in power after she was thrown in Jail. She sent Chaudhary Charan Singh flowers from jail, and was able to convince his to throw his support behind her. This is politics and Pehalwans need to look east of border for some ideas on how to play politics.

Educating pakistanis.

Take it from me..the only reason why nawaz wants the CJ back is to ensure that NRO is declared void and mushy is tried.

It is only the pakis who believe that restoration of CJ will improve the paki image are supporting the long march. For the poor hungry pakis, this is just another lump off grass in their food.

A mans vision - the path of pakistan

Many on the chowk are busy speculating about the political turns in pakistan. There is nothing new here, it is merely a repeat of what has been in the past, the zulfi who turned a dictator, the benazir who turned into a corrupt dictator, the nawaz who became a jihadi with the sharia laws...

There is an underlying theme in all of teh above..the steady march of the country into a jihadi state,

The fata and swat have been formally surrendered, the jihadis are at the door of Peshawar.

The madrassas continue to produce the jihadis, half join the taliban..the other half is with the army. Increasingly the paki army will not fight the taliban simply because the soldiers are refusing. The only institution of pakistan, the paki army is now totally jihadic.

In a short time large sections of the army will defect to taliban. That is when pakiland will be de-nuked. Re-sizing of pakistan is the only option for the world.

Good to see that the long march has become homestay. The march is not by the civil society, there is no such thing in pakistan. There is no one who talks about hoodood ordinance, no one cares about the blasphemy laws, and none of this lawyers talks about the ahmadias, and none of the educated who seek passport refuse the denigrate the ahmadias in the passport application for.. Good zardari, you have dealt with the barbarians they way they deserve.

These people, the so called civil society are simply a set of opportunists to unseat Zardari, teh so called CJ is so partisan that he should not have been made the CJ. He is teh same one who supported the doctrine of invetability abd legaised all the dictators. There is no law in pakistn, it is only sharia and there is no need to have a sacked CJ back. Long live Zardari, tell teh world the truth about pakistn, tell them that pakiland need strong dictators.


My dear Zardari, your days may be numbered, no one ..no one survives wrath of paki army. Look form bombs every where, look for gun men under the bed. Good luck my dear.

Blood thirsty Dracula , The Vampire who has become extremely blood thirsty and is in his full bloom of sucking the blood of poor Pakistanis.
