SC writes "This is a very surprising and somewhat interesting claim. What proof can you offer that the US (even via CIA) is sponsoring Bait Loola? That would explain a lot of things that I just can't understand. But, seriously, my friend, what evidence, real or circumstancial can you offer?"
Allow me to answer this question:
1. Giving them worldwide media attention and building them up as 'major enemy' which is a joke- post 9/11
2. Supporting them in the pre 9/11 period through the two US states among the many in the ME, SA and UAE and their client whore state Pakistan, not to mention directly through blessings and official visits.
3. Using the ISI and the same networks to build them up as were used for the mujahideen of old, hard to believe the CIA just lost all its assets.
4. The drones that get them grass roots support
5. Turning a blind eye to AQK making the atom bomb under their nose but making big noise about 4000 thugs armed with Ak-47s as if they were going to make Pakistan fall
6. Ensuring that this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy by making peace deals fail
7. Communication equipment seized from the Talibaboons is more sophisticated than that possessed by the Pakistan Army and it aint 'made in china'.
8. The dependence of the GWOT that is crucial to the US political economy on a group of baboons
Enough evidence? Or you want a DNA sample?

I laughed my head off when I read this article. Clearly this article has been faxed from 90.
I don't live in karachi anymore but I still have extended family and loads of friends. The area you are mentioning is Pre-Dominantly urdu Speaking area and the last 2 riots started from there due to Land Mafia (I agree here) but not due to Afghanis (as your Mafia Don sitting in london often see them in his ISI Paid dreams)but in reality there are block of flats which have been captured by the "BhattaKhoar" of MQM and the Opposite block has been captured by the Land Mafia group supported by ANP.
Although I am a Pukhtoon but I will never stick up for any Pukhtoon or ANP if they are in wrong.Certainly this is not the case among most of the Karachites, specially the supporters of MQM.
MQM is the biggest ethnically based Mafia group in Pakistan's History. They Have been backed by India and the Anglo-Americans. MQM is the "ONLY" party who have been involved in killing of pretty much every ethnic group, including: Pukhtoons, Punjabis, Sindhis, Baluchs, Makranis, memons. They have been at war with PPI,ANP,PPP,JI,Jeay Sindh,Muhajir Itehad,Sunni Tehreek,Mazdoor Kissan party, PML(N) How can one party be rite and rest of them wrong?
Their Governor of Sindh was a wanted man in rape and abduction for ransom case (as an APMSO member) and when he took the oath of Governor, he still was wanted in those cases. It was mussharaf who pardoned him in those cases later.
Perhaps I can write a book on just the Murders they have commited but I guess the learned Scholor forgot, Hakeem Syed, Azeem Ahmed Tariq,Raees Amrohi,Munawar seherwardee and Tariq Khan of PML(N). I am not even mentioning thousands of Policeman who were killed over last few years by their "hit squad"

Re: # 14 salim,
i assume he is basing it on some publicized complaints by the pak establishment that us drones never targetted baitullah inspite of having been provided accurate intelligence by isi about his locations and movements. supposedly this has happened more than once.

{"MatloobZ,
When you start believing the sponsors of Baitullah Mehsud (Americans) who clearly have another agenda for Pakistan, you delude yourself and bring potentially catastrophic misunderstandings into the mix. "}
Zyxius Sahib,
This is a very surprising and somewhat interesting claim. What proof can you offer that the US (even via CIA) is sponsoring Bait Loola? That would explain a lot of things that I just can't understand. But, seriously, my friend, what evidence, real or circumstancial can you offer? Thanks

"sponsors of Baitullah Mehsud (Americans)" you and me have no difference of opinion on this as highlighted in your response.
Its them as you point out, and its many others who have amalgamated themselves among them and among the general public who have but one mission and that is to tear up Pakistan and fill each other's hearts & minds with hatred against each other.
If our people can visualize as to who are the real enemies of Pakistan that have embedded themselves within this whole thing could change to be a blessing in disguise.
But, as long as we remain neck and neck against each other, the winners will be the enemies of Pakistan and everyone who believes in Pakistan.
Pakhtuns, Pashtuns and all other ethnics of Pakistan are brothers to each other and we need to understand this at a higher speed than we have so far, only then there could be peace and prosperity.
Best wishes

Glad to see that Chowk is not infested with jiyalas of the MQM. Intellectual honesty demands that we call them what they are. But the disappointment lies in Chowk itself allowing this drivel to be published....not because it represents a different point of view...but because it lacks any facts and suggests division and hatred for Pashtuns using euphemisms such as Taliban, Afghani, Bearded Mullah, etc.. Shame on Chowk for this crap!

The biggest land grabbers are the custodian of Karachi, the MQM. They are the self claimed karta dharta of the city, how can any other group create a mafia in their presence.

BARA: Two minor sisters, who were working as bonded labourers, managed to escape from the house of their landlord in Hayatabad, where they were being kept for the past seven months against a debt of Rs12,000.
Sana, 12, and Asma, 8, escaped from the Hayatabad residence of Habibullah, a resident of Mardan. After crossing into the nearby Khyber Agency, the girls started running towards the mountains. The local Khassadars, on seeing them running in scare, took them in their protection and brought them to the office of the assistant political agent.
The two girls, who were constantly weeping, were not going to disclose as to why they were running. Later, they SAID they were sisters working at the house of Habibullah. The girls SAID their father had borrowed Rs12,000 from Habibullah but could not return on time. As a voluntary arrangement some seven months ago, they said, their father agreed with Habibullah to pay off the loan in the form of direct labour by his daughters instead of currency. They said they had been working since then as housemaids with the family of Habibullah. They said after getting fed up with the torture by the family, they fled the house.

Please lets rely on our Pakistanis to tell us whats happening in our country rather than foreigners who have other interests.

It was amazing that in last week's violence, 23 out of 30 killed were pakhtuns...when their bluff was called that we are the victims, MQM tried to get the IG and CCPO changed...Karachiites maybe( I am a karachiite) but the rest of the nation is not blind when it comes to MQM
read my ilog entry

To all those who conveniently chose to blame it all on MQM, Iqra..i.e. read:
Here is a link. Please take a look. The following is a story by a US journalist who visited Taliban areas and madressahs in Karachi.
http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/09/30/1469342.aspx
Stop BSing in the name of MQM while attempting to blame all those who are Urdu speaking migrants and yet not in any way supporters or members of MQM, get some goat brain if you dont have any and think before speaking.
A great number of people in Karachi have nothing to do with MQM.

What kind of BS is this? You saw some Afghani looking people? How did you know they were Afghani? Did they have long hair, black turbans and were carrying Taliban flags? You MQM instigator! There are no such people in Karachi and it is MQM that is instigating such ethnic hatred just so it can maintain its iron grip on the city. Chowk should be more responsible than to public divisive nonsense like this that sounds like it comes straight from the simple mind of an MQM karkon. If they want to be mature about politics, they cannot be using these kinds of methods. One of my friends who is a reporter for Aaj TV informed me that they investigated the incident in Surjani Town and found that MQM and PPP are scapegoating ANP because ANP has risen to power very fast and they make convenient scapegoats during this Taliban panic. You not only play into the hands of India, the US and our enemies by using such stunts to promote the insane agenda of MQM...but you destroy the city you live in.
