Re: # 3: O-Kay....
I feel the writer wished to shed some light on the subject of 'blackholes' by sharing info that some fortunate already knew.
And if 'black holes' are not yet directly observed isn't that true for many other heavenly bodies of Universe?
'Black holes' weren't discovered long ago but the research is been going on it for quite some time and that is all I guess writer mentioned.
I see u have ample knowledge of the subject. I would really appreciate it Sir if u would write something on Mysteries of Cosmos.
Cheers

First of all, this is not a "write-up", but a "copy-paste-up". Secondly, I don't know what is the point of this whole article and what the writer exactly wants to convey. Third, the writer has presented the idea as if black holes have long been discovered. Let me make it clear...the concept of Black Hole is based on valid assumptions and mathematical calculations to explain many, otherwise unexplainable phenomena like gravitational lensing, streams of energetic particles from active galaxies, fate of super-massive stars, quasars etc and there is a consensus among physicists that these must be present. Though this concept is the best possible explanation of a large number of observable phenomena in the Universe, no black hole has ever been definitely discovered or directly observed. It is however an ever interesting subject to study and helps us envisage the mysteries of the Universe.

Re: # 1 Come on Leenah, it wasn't that bad.
‘Black holes’ are complex. As writer says, ‘It devours everything’-well sometimes coherence too.
I never get bore of reading about cosmos, time, light and God’s particle etc. Moreover, reading about the Universe and our status in it, is a good way to keep me grounded and deflate the imbalanced elated flights of ego. Actually it works like some spiritual cleansing therapy. So I would like to thank Zarrar for this write-up.
After reading “The brief History of Time” way back in 98 I wrote this poetry “Laa-yaani”. I am taking this liberty to post some verses from itit; Apology in advance from those who find it contemptible.
Ilm kee wus-atein hain la mehdood
Aur takhul-e-perwaz apnee mehdood
Hum ke kehte hain ashraful-Makhlooqaat khud ko
Soachte hain qabil-e-taskheer, qabil-e-hul hai qudrat to
Hum ke naazan hain ab tak kee kamranioan per
Bohat guroora hai fikr kee berpa, hasher samanioan per
“Bohat kutch jaan ker ehl-e-daanish yeh hee jaan pae hain
Hum to kutch bhee naheen kutch bante bigerte sae hain
Kabhee who jaanein
Yeh kaaenaat bus zarr-raat ka khazana hai
Kabhee ho munkashif keh
her zarra bhee lehroan ka taanabaana hai
Kaun jane who sira kis aalim ko mil pae ga
Who kaun hai jo in daeroan se khud ko nikaal pae ga.

An interesting topic lost in a jeopardized narration. The cutting pasting could have been done in a better and coherent way, atleast.
