Pakistan has been shouting from rooftops to internationalise the Kashmir dispute including at the UN, NAM, OIC, SAARC and whatever fora the Pak MEA can ferret out of the international diplomatic web. This effort has failed time again and the last nail on the coffin was driven by ZAB when he signed the Agreement of Capitulation in Simla.
The so called Kashmir problem has only one solution: POK must be vacated by Pakistan.

NAM was formed by dictators of 3rd world countries...None of the countries have decent record in human development, human rights and decent political process...
What NAM contributed in poverty alleviation, better eucation and health, industry, human rights?
Nehru was born rascal; but it was surprising that Pakistan, with it's closeness to USA, landed up in NAM!!!!

"NAM is not exactly the platform for an India-Pakistan conflict resolution..."

Neither is SAARC, the UN, ASEAN, OIC, GONBOPAYAT (Group Of Nations Bailing Out Pakistan's A$$ Yet Another Time) or GOIFPWASEOI (Group Of Imaginary "Friends" Of Pakistan Who Are Sworn Enemies Of India).

Peace with India can only come by working it out with India. Before that can happen, the trust defecit that exists between the two countries must be reduced. Frankly, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Non-aligned movement had a different challenge in the bi-polar world a few years ago. It could be rendered useless in face of current realities or it could still maintain its free spirit and reflect upon the issues arising in a uni-polar world. Increase in hunger and poverty in the developing world with precipitating financial crisis being one. A critical analysis of US and Europe and timely joint actions to safeguard rights of people and state in the developing world could be an on-going endeavour.
NAM is not exactly the platform for an India-Pakistan conflict resolution but re-starting the discontinued peace process could be a fruitful outcome of this conference at Sharm-al-sheikh.
