Then we should be able to find those "facts" in the other forms of expression too, not only and only in the jokes. someone should come up with proper reasoning and should pin point the ommission/commission or negligences. If Zardari is responsible for terrorist attacks, the power crisis, high inflation and the trade deficit.. then it should be told that how is he reponsible for these things.. n i think its quite easy to form generic perception these days just see on today's Yahoo news "Pakistan Court declines treason case against Musharraf" and then find the real story from any of the pakistani news website.

purposely maligning someone and a joke on someone are two different things and in pakistan the politics in general and some politicians in particular have been being purposely maligned through different means and tehcniques, most of the times seem to be orginated from the organised "hidden forces" for their own "hidden reasons".
one has to admit that well written series of jokes aimining at a paticluar politician do make an opinion against him and malign him. You dont have to give any reason, you dont have to base your jokes on any fact/proof and yet you sucessfully malign a person in pakistan. That seems to be the easiest and most effective way to malign somebody. Yes if the jokes are solely meant to make people laugh there should be no problem with them. Its ironical that we can easily forget/forgive people reacting in a funny way to the things said about them which are based on facts but yet we dont forgive/ignore a person irritatingly reacting to the repeated things said against him which are not supported by any fact. We dont mind a ruler in pakistan ousting a journalist of Daily Telegraph from Pakistan for writing an article against him based on facts and reasoning, it doesnt seems funny to us at all, we dont mind a ruler to replace an independent election observer body of U.S. with a government sponsored organisation (which had no experience as to observing elections at all ) only because the former conducted a survey, the result of which, showed the ruler to be quite an unpopular in Pakistan. we easily ignore the rulers here not allowing to common wealth to observe election only because they dont say "democratic" to an "undemoractic act". I think things like these are the real funny and embarassing things in Pakistan . things repeated in the jokes, without caring about the origin of the joke, tends to become a "truth" one day, a truth which permits no question. without being in favour or against anybody, I think a person is justified to take such jokes seriously which are entailed to such serious results.
