Foreign universities will be allowed to open branch in India....That will be great...like IT wave, we will get Higher Education wave in coming years....
It will allow India to be exporter of higher education to countries like Bangladesh, Iran, Afghanisthan, Nepal, Burma, Thailand and Vietnam....

riaz haq...
We will borrow from Pakistan to sponsor education etc...
Whatever amount, India is spending on defence,is approved by parliament...If people feel that, it is too much and uncecessary, MPs have to answer to the people...

"however, when bigotry is involved, even like this case, where i am not the direct target, i will react like this.....had it been muslim bigotry against hindus or christians etc., my reaction would be the same...."
Spoken like a true muslai i.e. a liar.
You have the post on what is happening to the Pakistani Hindus. What have you done about that.
muslais should be treated the way they treat others.

Riaz Haq, When Indian leadership becomes as irresponsible
as Pakistani has been, that is the day India will do
what you think India can't do.

It is no surprise that there continues to be a strong desire in India by some to "tame" Muslims on both sides on the Indo-Pakistan border, posing the greatest threat to peace in the world.
In India-Pakistan context, you see what Sashi Tharoor calls India's "Israel Envy" in spite of the fact that no sane person believes what some delusional Indians do when they think India can do what the Israelis have been doing to the Palestinians.
Another Indian writer Pankaj Mishra has talked about the same Indian phenomenon labeling it as the wish of many urban middle class Indians and the Indian media to "do a Lebanon" in Pakistan.

bulleya#167:
I have analysed my comments. Except for the word "tamed", which was taken in a certain context to mean assimilation, I do not find anything objectionable.
You have challenged me by your abuse but have not challenged any of the statements as factually incorrect.
I have answered all your questions, sometimes sentence by sentence. There is nothing to add.
Have a nice day.

I thought the whole idea of partition was that Indian muslims are not Pakistan's issue and Indians will not bother Pakistanis about the fate of any left over hindus.
There are so many intelligent muslims in India that they can take care of themselves. They will make their adjustments, benefit from good decisions and face consequences of any wrong decisions.
Pakistan has enough of its own challenges as do Indians. Let's try to solve our own problems and not lecture each other.

This is an incomplete quote. You omitted the most important "that I know".

dost-mittar: "However, the level at which you are carrying this discussion (unlike your your usual calm manner)"
....obviously this is up to you.....you may want to analyze your own comments, before deciding the level of the discussion, however.......
the fact that, unlike my, "usual calm manner" i am deliberately and openly challenging you, should indicate to you how much i despise bigotry and racism and prejudice.....
when i am, abused here, i rarely react....however, when bigotry is involved, even like this case, where i am not the direct target, i will react like this.....had it been muslim bigotry against hindus or christians etc., my reaction would be the same....
and in this case, it is related to a country, where my next generations will grow up....the last thing canada needs is hindu nationalists trying to influence it like they have influenced india.......
since you are unwilling or unable to answer the concerns i have highlighted, i will assume you have no answer to them....you may, however, want to think about why your fellow countrymen indian muslims do not interact on this site.......why does farzana varsey have to be, "brave" to interact here......and brave against whom.....keeping in mind the indo-pak situation, and her being an indian, one would expect her to be brave against pakistanis......ironically. your comment indicates her braveness against her own hindu countrymen......
in any case, the best way to look down bigotry is to expose it openly, without any hesitations......so while i support your right to free speech, even if it contains prejudices against others.....i also have the right to ensure your hindu nationalist ideas do not gain foothold in canada....i doubt they will though.....canada is far too stable for that.......
having said that, i think you dont realize the prejudices you carry....someone needs to expose them for your own good....
as i said earlier, the first stage of naziism is when prejudices become a common part of social vernaclar.....after that the slide really starts.....one has to nip the evil in the bud......

#159: keeping the population proportions in mind, there should be as many as pakistani muslims......however, where are they
So true. Also compare worldwide populations of Jews and Muslims and next compare their share of Nobel prizes. Just shows how even Sweden discriminates in favour of Jews against Muslims. ;-)

#158: List of countries by military expenditure as a percentage of GDP
Pakistan 3 2007 est.
India 2.5 2006
It is only fair to add that in Pakistan this percentage is decreasing i.e. that it used to be even greater in the recent past.
Also, China, Pakistan's close friend has a percentage above 4 per cent which the worldwide Pak alumni hasn't yet found out.

I had said earlier that I do not want to carry on more discussion on this topic. However, the level at which you are carrying this discussion (unlike your your usual calm manner), arjun is a better candidate to engage you than me.
