However I would like to clarify a few points about Goldfinger "rich hindus.....poor muslims". That statement is far from truth. There are enough number of rich muslim, and in politics, sports, bollywood and all walks of life in India. While it is true that the average figures for the muslims lag behind the national average literacy, financial position etc, it was due to the lack of the community to adopt modern education and sticking to the traditional madarsaa education and traditional handicrafts industries. On an average the communities such as Sikhs, Jains, Parsees, Christians etc. are better of than the national, Hindus and Muslim's figures. However all that is changing and nowadays you see a lot of Muslim families, boys and girls also benefitting from the Indian economic growth of the past 10-15 years.

It's strange that the only connection among all of these diverse peoples and geographies you see is their faith, and nothing else matters in terms of ground realities and peculiar problems of each situation, as far as bigots like you are concerned. In addition to your open bigotry, you base it on the faulty assumption that these nations have no other internal conflicts based on difference among the various religions/ethnicities (e.g. Tibetans in China, Georgian-Russian conflict in Abkhazia, Christian minorities in India etc) that live in these diverse places.

Yes, it is the Hindus' fault that terrorists are sent in from Pakiland or created in India. Just like it is the secular Chinese people's fault in Xinxiang, the Thai Buddhists' fault in Thailand, the Hindus and the Chinese's fault in Malayasia, the Russians' fault in Chechniya and other Muslim provinces, the French people's fault in France, the British people's fault in England, the Dutch people's fault in Holland, Americans' fault in America, the Greeks' fault in Greece, and so on. It requires regular Friday visits to the watering-hole to see all this clearly.

ajeya...you sound like a pygmy trying to act big and grandiose...come down from your lofty pedestal, open up your eyes, and try to sort out the horrendous problems of your own people...do you think its a good thing (or even true!) that all the Hindus in your country are very rich and living lavish lives, while its only the 150 million Muslims who live lives in the gutters of slums? If that be the case then maybe they should start working on making an other separate homeland from the likes of you.

SPY...this sounds reasonable...however what I wanted to say was that one should first fix up one's own problems before talking about others predicaments...as to the problems with supposed attacks etc on sundry Indian institutions or places, well this can of worms was first opened up in 1971 in Bangladesh...lets hope that such things could eventually be sorted out one way or another...hopefully mutually...

The issue of nightmare is a security related and for an Indian its source is in Pakistan. Efforts such as sponsoring Punjab terrorism, Kargil attack, Parliament attack, Mumbai 26/11, sending Kasabs, pushing terrorists in Kashmir, pushing fake Indian currency notes etc. are not happening out of thin air. The nightmares can vanish and the relations between the two countries can improve if Pak stops all these nefarious activities.

Regarding the second point "rot is right in your own midst...", I 100% agree and all these are internal problems which the Indians themselves have to resolve.

I am not sure why you are mixing two unrelated issues in the same post.

I see lots of Pakis say this. Almost every Paki. Seems quite widespread in the Paki psyche. Indians cannot forget "the thousand years of Muslim rule" etc. I think this Paki mentality has arisen out of an inferiority complex - loss in two wars, smaller and insignificant country, irrelevant status. Every time they say that, they feel good about themselves.

You may not be able to swallow this truth (because of your education system maybe), but 99% of Indians don't think of Pakistan AT ALL. Nobody thinks about them, talks about them, discusses them. The only time they briefly come into public consciousness is when they do something criminal - like sending murderous goons into India and killing Hindu civilians, hiding and sheltering wanted mass murderers from India and events like that. But in a couple of weeks, people forget that there is a even a country called Pakistan.

You guys are like a bug that keeps buzzing around and thinks that humans are obsessed about it. Only time we think about the bug is when it lands on us and we have to swat it. You may not believe this. But it is actually true.
