Just trying to figure out whether I have understood this story or not. This is about a sort of mid life crisis. The protagonist of the story is a middle aged man. He is questioning his beliefs and the way he has lived his life.
I think thats quite relevent, as we age we reach a point where a lot of our rituals and ambitions become meaningless, and suddenly we realize that we have actually wasted our best years.
