i really can't do anything abt ur shortsightedness. I havn't jumped to any conclusions even 'the Attacker' is not pointed out as any one particular xyz. However Fanatics like u create ppl like lashkaray jahngwi How? Easy __u guys are just like the religious extremist ,bigots, with a difference , swinging to other extreme 'anti-moulwi views'. Ppl like you have unconciously made Religion a Moulwi’s property and then pathetically defined Moulwi as any one with a beard. You and all other ppl like you who live in symbols are especially perplexed in this new ironical situation where singers like Junaid Jamsheed one day appear on tv with bearded face and a guitar in hand, where in recent lahore attaks even a woman was found fighting... What’s going on! Any educated person if grows a beard is made to feel guilty abt it,“oye moiuwli ho gyaa hay’. We needed to create an environment where ppl could feel free to practice their beilieves, 'veil or no veil', should be their chocie; moulwi or no moulwi is a fanatical approach Similarly elements of intolerance and extremeism should be wiped off . But ppl llike you have braught pakistan to this state where things are seen as white n black & all is terribly divided by two extremes. Result is a lurking bloodshed and approaching civil war.

Well friend, actually u hvn't got the point i have tried to raise. Your frenzic reply therefore hammers on how islam is full of bigotism and arabs are ayash and backwards !Now abt what i have tried to say: Generally Pakistan has been incapable of taking decisions as a gracefull independent nation (which it surely is) and have been relying on Others. As far you rely on others to do ur chores u end up in disaster. Sure this is what Pakistan is in today. Secondly to unite and stand for one another or to atleast able to objection at somehing objectionable takes courage and character __lacking in Muslim world( it is obvious.) Israel gets all the support for its brutality__ world knows it. When it attacks other s or when it feels isolated and suppressed world sympathises. America did not need a natural calamity and disaster to unite against terrror attacks of 9/11. This spirit lacked in Arab countries when Iraq attacked on Kuwait. Arabs could have faught it themselves , only if they have stood united. But they relied on America and suffered the consequences. (Arab’s fault of-course) Thing is that muslims should stand for humanity and erase injustice or terrorism. Islam is abt tolerance, forgiveness and peace instead of revange murder and terror. But unfortunately this is not happening and this is why common man who knows at heart ‘something should be done abt it’ is miserable and upset like the flock of hen i quoted in previous interact.
All i want is that ppl should come up with some strategic ways to deal with the problem Like revoultionalising the madrasa system and keep checks for on the ‘chanda’ gathered by religious ppl to make sure they dont end up in hands of extremist and misused etc etc. But they can’t even elect a gov. Of their own choice as the writer of the related article has said. America can only help by providing lethal weapons to use againt taliban in pakistan; and then soon on us .... Everthing will be swept away in this wave of anarchy if we do not stand and take sane actions.{ as you can see first Afhghanistan then Peshawar and now Punjab...and some duffers amid all this will be left looking for bearded men to crush them...for God sake widen your visions.}
Just for ur info my nick is suggestive of tragic

your reply is as ridiculous as ur speech and baseless__ i must say.Insteand of shooting nonsense in vain come up with solid examples which i am sure u r incapable of. You are incapable of differentiating between muslims and terrorists. Terrorism is an activity and anyone can engage in it___ Israel's State terrorism ; Britian's imperrialsim was a sublime form of atoricites of its sort and Yes Taliban's terrorist activieties. What is wrong is wrong no matter who does it But u r such a bigot hounding after muslims only!

India should learn from the Pakis' best friends, the Chinese, how to deal with this kind of problem. This is the ONLY way. The ONLY language they understand.
Xinjiang rioters get death sentence
BEIJING – A court in western China’s Xinjiang region sentenced six people to death yesterday in the first trials over July 5 riots that left nearly 200 people dead, state-run television reported.
China Central Television (CCTV) said one other defendant was sentenced to life in prison over the unrest, the worst ethnic violence to hit China in decades.
During the rioting, members of the ethnic Uighur minority – most of whom are Muslims – went on a rampage in attacks directed mainly at members of China’s dominant Han ethnic group.
The riots left 197 people dead, most of them Han, according to the government.
Officials at the Urumqi court refused to immediately confirm the sentences when contacted by AFP, but CCTV said the death sentences were meted out due to the severity of the crimes.
Those sentenced appeared to all have Uighur names.
Police have detained at least 718 people suspected of crimes related to the unrest, earlier reports said.
State-controlled Xinhua news agency quoted the city’s prosecutor late last month saying 21 people had so far been charged with crimes including homicide, arson, robbery and property damage related to the riots.
Footage broadcast by CCTV showed deserted streets in front of the Urumqi court, with riot police out in force.
Urumqi has been under extremely heavy security since the riots, tightened amid a wave of needle attacks beginning in late August which Han have blamed on Uighurs.

haneef.gujar #17: I think Nawaz Sharif is doing his patriotic duty in sitting in the sidelines and not interfering with the Zardari government, which could provide opportunities to the invaders (they are more than mere terrorists, given that their goal is to actually take-over Pakistan). But I agree with you - he should have run for bye-elections. And if the Saudi king gave some "brotherly advice" to Nawaz Sharif - NS should come out in the open about it. It should not be treated as a state secret.

Macbeth #18 Before reaching conclusions, one must understand the facts. I feel sorry for people like you who hear nothing but the distortion and lies that are prevalent in Pakistan when it comes to anything to do with "arab brothers". Because people like you have been so badly fooled, Pakistan is in a state of civil war rather than at peace with itself and focussing on economic progres.

macmusla....
when you see pakis in peshawar is bombarded, please stop lookimg from musla angle...if you look like this, then, it will be musla vs. rest and then you may deserve some bigger one...when your musla brothers committing attrocities accross the globe, do you feel the same pain for others? i think no....so, even if all your musla brothers unite, they will not be able to stand against non musla counterparts of eu and asia....

Friend, your post is as melancholy as your nick. The non-Muslim world has gone far ahead because ir has divested itself of the bigotism which we see in Islam today. You feel isolated and helpless because you think religion and Allah is the be all and end all of life. If that had been the case hundreds of millions of Muslims in Asia and Africa blessed by Allah would not have been living in backwardness and misery while a few Arabs continue to live a life of ayyashi. Please get out of your mental ghetto, learn to coexist with people of other faiths and nobody will attack you. As for other Muslims not extending a helping hand, every country on the planet looks after its interests, religious brotherhood and ummah and all such things are only in words. that is true for individuals as well. True brotherhood will always show up when it is really required, in the times of natural calamities, catastrophes , for example.

Saeed Shiekh...
Look Mr., if you have voted for something called Pakistan ( musla nation), then you should have expected this, knowing fully well that musla barbarism will not be tolerated by civilised world and your opponents are equipped with advanced weapon systems....what earstwhile heroes of Pakistan did in 14th/15th century ( central asian and arab looters), can not be replicated in current time, even if arabic moon god (Allah) relocates from Arabia to Pakistan to help you guys....

i am going to quote an example i once heard to depict the psyche and situation of our ppl. Our nation is acting like a flock of hens that is caged and feeling terribly suffocated. The butcher puts his hand in the cage almost after every half an hour and drags a hen out.He slaughters it immediately. All other hen can see it and make noises in desparation and yet do nothing but await their brutal fate. Not just pakistani as a natioon but muslims in particular all over the world have been acting thus. The calamity that has fallen on us today is a result of this submissive and coward attitude that we have adopted. Even today many would think that its peshawar and they are safe coz they do not live there.Just like we all thought when America bombard Iraq and Afghanistan killinf several innocent civilians we thoght yeah its bad but we live in Pakistan. Dear fellows i guess its time we see a crisis of one muslim as all muslim's , a pain of our fellows as ours and do something abt it otherwise we will soon be swallowd by such lethal attacks never minding who the attacker is!

Re: # 14 yaara tahmed it doesnt help when popular leaders like nawaz sharif refuse to contest by-elections because of some deal with a crooked saudi king! it is time he came clean. i must say nawaz sharif has been acting mature ever since he returned.. but the past still seems to haunt him..maybe the saudi's are still mad he visited Data Darbar the moment he landed in pakistan.....! he isnt as dumb as people make him out to be...he knows where the sentiment lies..but still.....he will be a hero if he comes on TV and....gives it to the saudi arab establishment!! :)
