There was not a single word that did not resonate with the same heart wrenching pain that, I am sure, majority of us feel. May the soul of this, and all those Akbars rest in peace whom we lose everyday, and now almost every hour, to this untenable beast - terrorism.

Its humanity which is suffering, be it here or ANYWHERE else. To me, this hurts more because this happens in my own land.

I really appreciate your concern and your efforts Mr. Saeed Shiekh. I sure do hope with voices like these, the message should get more loud and clear!

I have in fact lived in the USA =) And frankly you could've done MUCH better than that.

Where shall I begin, Hmm Worthy men in USA? Lemme think - The state that brought forward the controversies of several Catholic Priests who molested little girls & boys alike? Now that isn't heresy but proven in the court of law.

Also proven to have the highest crime rate, your most notorious serial paedophiles, rapists & murderers stem from the US of A. Which happens to be one of THE MOST imperialist powers of the world (Read: Noam Chomsky)
Known world over to be the worst slave masters in history?

Homophobes?
Agists?
Sexists?
Racists?

Being a super power USA refused to sign the International Treaty for War Crimes.

Guantanamo Bay ring any bells????

Need I say more?

One man?
If you live in USA most of your neighbours will be much more worthy, check them? Or check your own relatives?

A single man more worthy than him????

Re: # 74
I am amazed at your interest in Islam and quranic teachings!! Only if Mr. Fatehmolla would utilize this knowledge in a positive perspective, he would be a changed man.......but Alas....
Please expand your knowledge about the historical perspectives of slavery, polygamy and treatment of prisoners of war in context of Christianity, jadaism and other religions. You will find out that nothing that Prophet Mohammad did was out of the ordinary for that time period and era. As i said before...These things were the "NORM".....and if you dont know the meaning of norm, A sociological term has been defined as "the rules that a group uses for appropriate and inappropriate values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors." So, All this was way of life in those times for all people living in those societies.

"OHH you disguised Moslem...."

Where have something similar before? I remember on Sept 23 2001. What I had heard was this "After you have said the Kalima so many times in last 10-12 days, you have become a Muslim." Those words were uttered by a old Hyderbadi American lady. Her husband did not scold her for uttering those words. Every day on those days I reached their home sharp 5 AM driving 30 miles oneway after my regular 2 miles run, 32 surya namaskar and bath.

I had to tell the lady that we are born Muslim, if that means SatChitAnanada.

Re: # 70
Mr. Fatehmolla
AS referenced by you in your last paragraph, Sura 33.50 , Let me point out that there is no direct mention of "slaves" as such in it. It only lays down the women relatives one is allowed to marry. Heres the authentic translation:

"[33:50] O prophet, we made lawful for you your wives to whom you have paid their due dowry, or what you already have, as granted to you by GOD. Also lawful for you in marriage are the daughters of your father's brothers, the daughters of your father's sisters, the daughters of your mother's brothers, the daughters of your mother's sisters, who have emigrated with you. Also, if a believing woman gave herself to the prophet - by forfeiting the dowry - the prophet may marry her without a dowry, if he so wishes. However, her forfeiting of the dowry applies only to the prophet, and not to the other believers. We have already decreed their rights in regard to their spouses or what they already have. This is to spare you any embarrassment. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. "

I dont see any mention of slaves here by the way...do you??????? As said earlier, plz get your facts right before making a debate.
Plus let us make it very clear here, The Islamic ethics of treating prisoners of war is part of the whole system of Islamic ethics, which places utmost importance on the preservation of human dignity and rights. This principle extends from the rights of the unborn child to the rights of women, the elderly, Servants, non-Muslims living in a Muslim country, to aggressive enemies captured as prisoners of war. Each human being has inherent value and distinction as God’s creation. And true Islam respects all humanity therefore Allah clearly states that committing murder or suicide, both are 100% forbidden in Islam. So these terrorists who are committing murders everyday...how can they belong to Islam???

The jist of the long article of Koenrad's article is in these lines:

"Many mystic phenomena the world over come about as cases of stumbling upon certain states of consciousness, which may lead to some kind of "enlightenment" but also to serious delusions, most typically M E G A L O M A N I A , witness the self-importance of the assorted gurus and messiahs in the modern cult scene.

Hindu yogis claim to have left these dangerous mind games behind because their forebears have developed a safe and sound method laid down in such classics as Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. Ram Swarup (Hindu View of Christianity and Islam, p.45-46) argues that the methodical and systematic "science of yoga" has a substantial qualitative edge over other forms of mysticism or mediumism. From this angle, it is unfair (even if fashionably in tune with the "equal truth of all religions" doctrine) to put yoga in one class with the experiments of Shamans taking hallucinogenic plants, or with the uninvited voice-hearing experiences of Mohammed."

Papi Kasabis also suffer from megalomania.
