interesting original imagery....the imagery associated with the female seem to be very ``wes cravish`` (nightmare on elm street) type...

Aatish:

``people walk by

perhaps in search of their lives

and

when a sleepless night will open its jaws``

`

touched a few chords.

``...his words
untagged keys to hidden locks
hoping to find a match``

Loved this line. Very nicely written. Chowk has given me a new appreciation for poetry because of your work.

Re: Zehra

Thanks. I like that poem too, but without my muse, it would not have been written.

Re: Bina

Thanks. I am a fan of your writing, so the compliment means more. Got to write about something one knows about.

Re: afrasiyab

I am sorry, subtlety is not my forte. I guess my approach to somethings is that of a battering ram, but that is how I perceive them and feel about them. I think somethings need to be screamed out, sometimes.

Re: Shahbaz

Thanks for the remarks. I try to write about something I can relate to, otherwise, it does not resonate. Whether or not I succeed is a fault of my writing ability.

I think haunted can be a very weak way of describing love or lust. It`s really much more than that. It`s a new person within you that you did not know existed, and it can consume you.

Re: Saeed Jaffer

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that my words can evoke joy/thought/feelings in others, at least some of the time.

God, man!

Why do you have to hit the nail on the head so hard.

This was great. Simple, clean, powerful.
