Nicely written. Problem with most subcontinental women is that their only ambition in life, especially after the age of 18, is to snare a guy into marrying them and providing for them for life. Very few have any other ambitions like a career for example.

And desi girls take an innocent little romance too seriously. Have to watch out, to keep from hurting them. They are brought up generally, to be too sensitive i think, personally. But therein lies the charm! But they are too apt to have their hearts broken. Its too easy (and painful to watch) to make them cry. Its the sweet innocence which i find alluring. Ofcourse that is not true by any means of all desi girls. Some are fairly sophisticated and wise to the ways of the world.

Your character Radha was the emotional type. Being her first love and all i suppose. I felt sad for her sake.

I liked your debut on Chowk! I am waiting for an encore now!

Loved the simplicity of the sentence structures; eaching joining into the next to create an idea, image which lingered like the moon on a river, cresting ripples of reflection in the reader`s thought patterns and casting a metaphorical penumbra on the meaning of the river itself.

Keep on truckin`!

You are an original. The compulsiveness of your characters depicted vividly enough in this story to come out and scream at the reader.

Rebecca:

Simple, proper, fluent way of story telling. Predictable turns and twists still held my interest till the end. It is obvious that you pay attention to sentence structure and flow. Keep writing.

regards

Rebecca:

Interesting story and well written. I also wanted to ask you if you indeed did grow up in Allahabad? Certain details, but especially Lucky Sweet Mart, makes me think so. Of course, the reason I am so intrigued is because I did grow up in Allahabad as well. Good luck, and keep writing.

Jawahara
