Dr. Udayakumar, If you were asked to describe in one sentence of reasonable size, what you are trying to say in this article, how would you go about it.

Also, are you trying to suggest that ancient Ethiopians knew about electricity?

Dr.Udayakumar

India is a huge country and has gained independence only 50 years ago. If you read through the history of United States or any big nation you will get to know that `Every nation takes it`s time to Evolve`. After all India has been an exploited lot by the islamic invaders and the British in the past.

It does take time for the nation to evolve considering the fact we are a country with Secular policies and many languages with 1/6th of the world`s population.

Don`t shiver out words just for the sake of filling out your columns.

The article is a little confused, it seems to me.

The problem of raising capital to fund power plant projects is being confused with the problem of making political leaders responsive to public needs rather than their own ambitions.

I do not think that confused criticism has much value.

``How about privatizing the elections? Rich people could own private election commissions and conduct elections in their own allotted states or constituencies. The winning MPs become the cmpany`s own serfs and act accordingly in policymaking and of course, profit-making.``

This has already happened in Pakistan. I wouldn`t doubt it if it was true about Inida as well.
