great, sardonic, satirical, symbolism. But still Fauji remained a bit undermentioned. Intentional??

Dr. Adnan Aslam

Hmm a rat called Jinnah ...I dont think TRC

has ever had one ..there was a parrot called Hitler ..but then on a serious note I understand how some would get offended , by the connotations ...but then ..thats TRC`s place for you ;)

Perhaps it is funny but only if context is known.

However

``To be honest TRC brought in two Ducks ( named Gandhi and Nehru ..both having a propensity for suicide by seating themselves right in the middle of the drive way )``

Why don`t you add a rat called ``Mohammad Ali Jinnah`` to your list of animals? That may make this article funny for everyone.

Regards

The following is NOT about this particular piece, which seems like a sincere attempt at political humor.

This message is about this new clamity that has just hit this site. (copied from SPEAKER`s Corner)

* * *Inflation drowns CHOWK * * *

It is the inflation of rapidly appearing new postings on the front page that I refer to here.

In the last week or so this site has engaged in `warp drive`. In two days more new articles have been posted than they did in a few weeks.

The editors have opened a floodgate and unleashed an avalanch of new postings which must have built up a backlog. Not a good way to deal with a backlog at all.

This is a critical test of EDITORIAL LEADERSHIP and CHOWK seems to be at a very high risk of failing it miserably. Everything and everyone cannot and must not be published at the same level. Dumb pieces and brilliant ones are indiscriminately mingled and given equal time (on the front page), which seems to be getting shorter and shorter like the average person`s attention span.

It seems likely that Umair and Safwan cannot continue to shoulder this burden. A dedicated full time editor is the only hope for this site or IT WILL DIE. A renewed editorial commitment is crucial for the Chowk`s progress.

Dear Zalan,

Very smart. You reminded me of an article/short story by P.G. Woodhouse titled ``Leader`` or ``Leadership``?

Any inspiration from Woodhouse?
