Dear Dost-mittar, you are welcome. But can you give more pointer for the Rafi`s song that you asked? I am a die-hard Rafi fan, but did not hear that song, or at least not recognizing it. My favorites of Rafi are:

I think you have chalked out a wonderful itenary for Urstruly! So i am also giving the go ahead too:)

I have never been to calgary, i liked how you compared it as a mini dallas .My brother used to live in Dallas , so have made frequent trips there .Out of the large American cities , i like Dallas, and find it the least ``obnoxious``

and yes !!! we are canadian!! :) :)

Thanks for your pointer to the VCD, I will definitely look at it once I get out of this temporary music-deaf state of mind. I am a die hard fan of Ata Ullah Khan Isa khailvi and once had his ``ni oothaaN waalay tur jaan gay`` taped on both sides of the cassette which I used to play non-stop. Have you read Dr. Younus Butt especially his ``too too main main``-I must admit that guy ``phatiaN bhan ditiaN nay`` :)

You are welcome. I am unfamiliar with Inderjit; probably I have heard him without knowing his name. I suggest that you write to apnaorg people about it. They are very receptive.

I think with persian script, all punjabi sounds are available, including `bh` except the sound of soft N coupled with a hard R. But such accent is particular to southern punjab and siraiki belt. Sindhi has its own alphabet to pronounce N-R combination. I have read some Panjabi authors using that particular sindhi alphabet. Sindhi again is written in arabic/persian script.

I did learn gormukhi script while I was a student a few years ago from a sikh friend. But then due to lack of practice and exposure (and sikh friend being a male) I have forgot most of the alphabets:). I think it will take a week for me to be on track again.

Yellow Knife was on my wish list until I saw the real fury of blizzards trapped in a northern Ontario nowehere-land. I was fascinated by it (YK) for two reasons, one was, it being the Northern most end of the world where some civilization exists and second was an inspiration from short story writer (forgetting his name) who always writes about snow-storms, bears, and wolves etc.-your kids might know his name-he is big.

Calgary itself is just another city, but what is really worth is touring the Canadian Rockies, and passing through places like Banff, Lake Louise , and adjacent vicinity. You could make Calgary your starting point or ending of the journey . drive through these places .

Victoria is a real `` koh kaaf ``, acc. to our family and friends in Pakistan .For most people generally Canada begins in Toronto and ends there :)So Victoria somehow is still the world`s best kept secrets , though is being discovered gradually, and now i consider it to be rush hour if i have 10 cars in front of me, as opposed to 4 , in the earlier years , and i consider it busy in the shopping mall if there are 6 people ahead of me in the line up for payments , instead of 3 !! so it is getting bigger by victoria standards !!

However the Victorians hate changes , so i dont think it will ever loose its naturalbeauty and Heavens never get commercialised . At least till the Nearly Deads are around :)

Do give us a shout whenever you plan a trip. We would be truly delighted to show us around `` koh kaaf ``!

Btw , i cannot deny all that Dost Mittar # 150 has said about it :)

I think Dosanjh`s days are now outnumbered , aur un key Raaj key dinoon Ka sikha aab ziyada nahin chaley ga !! this is the definate feel here .He need 40 seats to form the govt. whether it is going to be zero or 10, he is definately going to loose !

The election date is close approaching so lets see !
