Dear sir, there is nothing strange. I am find lot of concern about shudras, minorities, hatered for Baniyas etc. These are supposed to be in lowest two castes. Everyone accepts that majority of muslims in Indian sub-continent had hindu ancestors. Why we don`t find anyone claiming a shudra or baniya as their ancestor?

Let me tell you the Last Khutba of Prophet PBUH to show that it is nothing of shame.

Also in Koran it says that all humans are descendants of Adam.

Qutbuddin Aibak of Qutub Minar fame and Ghiasuddin Bulbun I think were slaves before becoming ruler.

The Muslim Empire has been ruled by descendents of slaves in Turkey I think.

It is not the Blood of Muslim that make him Muslim, it is the belief of Muslim that make him Muslim.

Since there is no bad blood or good blood, what is wrong if somebody`s ancesstors were Brahmin, or Shudr or Christians or Jews. Neither it is a thing of pride nor shame.

You are asking me if Pakistan treated Bengali badly, why not Hindus.

Two things. First I am a witness, and live with those people. You would care to read my posts on Bangladesh and criticism of Pakistan.

But where there is false analogy, I will have to resist.

In Pakistan, Majority of Muslims are killed at the hands of Muslims.

The problem with Ahmedi is that they call themselves Muslims. If they stop calling themselves Muslims they might be in a better position. Second problem is Blasphemy Law, which needs to be changed into a better form.

And in West Pakistan there is hardly any killing of Hindu because of a person being a Hindu.

As far as I remember attacks on Hindu temple are also in retaliation, like Babri Masjid saga. But still it was condemned even by Jamat-e-Islami considered a very fundamentalist party.

In short there is no forced conversion in any form. If people decide for themselves due to monetary gains or some other reason what do you think it tells.

You got that one right brother. I met my first Israeli on a post-high school trip to Calcutta. He was a few years older than us and a paratrooper who was in Lebanon. But, God, he was just a regular Joe having fun like us. Unlike what our media portrayed them, they are good, decent people who are just trying to survive amidst a sea of hostility. And the Palestinians...the less I say about Yasir Araft and his cronies, the better.
