anNy,
Not sure how timely this is. That was excellent. Expose these vulnerabilities; make them squirm at their own reflections. Your mirror would do them well, were they to be as honest as your article.
Look forward to more.
Regards,
Aamir

anNy #67,
this is what bothers me about some Pakistani women. this downward spiral of ``doing nothing`` and just accepting the ``fakeness`` as life.
you`re young, don`t just accept things, try and change them. you seem to be very innocent still.
maybe you should try and consider going abroad to study. the independence and hardship you`ll face will make you a stronger person.
you have a great mind and wit (as evident from your writings). i just hope it doesn`t get lost in the Karachi/Lahore goody-goody tea parties.
sorry for the naseehatain, if you minded.

{harpreet! merae dost!!!! wherev u been? :)}
- I have been in remission from Chowk. Unfortunately I have relapsed.
(Actually I have been hiding under my bed waiting for the end of the world, what with recent events. It is all so uncool)
:-)
What books have you been reading lately anything exciting?

hawww slinky..u say this to me just days after i have the most traumatic experience ever..ignore people?? me? such was the trauma that i forgot to say my thanks for a lovely dinner and was up all night throwing up shrimp tails and double fudge chocloate chip cookies :)
u ask what im doing about the fakness scout..nothing at all..whats freaky is that when this came on chowk, i got a proper jhatka...u see, this no longer bothers me...it had been bothering me bohat ziada at one point ( and thus the khichree..redid it 5 times with nasima without first person simple narrative and the ultimate silly banNy touch when all else failed- also, hence the dive under the bed as most of my work is designed to be personal but this was more than all the rest although i tried very hard for it not to be)so now, iv either become a very jaalee person or then accepted some things i shouldnt have..aur koee sawaal behen?
stuka:
``You`re on the inside of this crowd, and yet, you don`t feel you are a complete part of it.``
yep...i love all those mentioned in the piece to death..all are dear old friends who are good human beings in the truest sense of the word...dont know why the disgust..but u are right, i dont ever `completely` feel a part of it..i think a lot of it goes into the one important influence in my life telling me always to be humble and honest to `yourself and your people`..incidentally, the same person thought this was my most weak piece ever and that i seem to be `rather high on my own morality` :(
samina, i did nadine gordimer in my first semster at uni and loved her, partly because we had the most incredible teacher in the world..her once upon a time freaked me out for some reason..u have red it?
farzana: haiii..u know how much i like to blabber :( but i havent gone into the details about what really happend to nasima and what led up to the piece..thatll be 4 dabbas of pringles please
sacsaab u are ofcourse right :)
Mr.Prem a.k.a EK, i suggest u stop acting like my personal defence attorney..like samina pointed out, the days of the damsel in distress are long gone..and the rate at which ure going, people are going to think im paying you or something...thank u sweetie :)
bijleejeebijleejee: kyoon peechae parhtee hain merae? aap theek hain? long time no talk ;)
thank u to everyone who liked this (zafarsaab ure only saying it cause u like me so much) and those who thought it was flaky :) im dying to write lambi lambi kahanian in response to every single post but my exams are killing me
