Hamzad Afaqui:
Unfortunately I am not familiar with the works of William Schitick,Rene Guenun,Fritzhoff Schoun. Can you please refer to me some of their works.
Ishque over Aql - In my post to Tahmed, I had quoted just such a idea about the over dependence on Jurisprudence and the notion that jurisprudence a branch of Islam had eclipsed Tarriqah and Haqqiqah - that is the essence of Islam. How is it that the center of the circle has traded position with the circumfrence?

Scout:
``I don`t know who you`re agreeing with, but harimau was quoting one of my posts about the Buddhas from a longgggg longgggg time ago.``
Dearest scout, please expect my humblest apology. Im soooooo sorry for misquoting you, It will never, ever, ever happen again... (In Boyz II Men mode: ``im down on bended knee...``)
Im just playing sis. But Im still guilty as charged for not reading all 300 replies in this piece (I hope I didn`t miss any 20,000 word disertations on the future of Kashmir).
PS: Whats with the name?
Zafar: Im saving ``buy-bull`` for JP II. He`s coming to Toronto in 2002.
PSS: If anyone is interested, Princeton University is running an interesting experiment. They put random number generators all over the world. They found that on 9/11 the randomness of these generators changed (4 hours before, during and after the attacks). The numbers became less random, more sequential. They attribute this to a global consciousness...

aicha #272,
I`ve heard about Ruby Jewelers. But seriously, Pakistani Jewelry might be pretty and frajile, but Indian jewelry has better craftmanship.
If you don`t believe me, ask all the ``experts,`` in other words desi aunties. :)
On a personal note, except for the Bazubands and delicate anklets, I hate all forms of our gaudy gold jewelry. We should focus our attention on the real deal: platinum and diamonds.

Dear Iajwanti,
I am a bit flattered you pasted my response from Farzana`s board here. I was wondering if you had an additional point to make.
Regards,
Prem
P.S. I noticed this nick of yours begins with an I.

harimau #250,
you can hate Muslims all you want, it just shows your upbringing. i won`t insult Hinduism, if that`s what you are expecting from me, in retaliation.
i wasn`t brought up to hate or make fun of other people`s religion. and i really hope you don`t bring up your children with hate in them for Muslims. and if you do, you`ll create monsters for yourself and society.
just like i stopped interacting with the 12-headed monster, i don`t wish to interact with you any further so don`t address any more posts to me.
good riddance to you and all hate mongers like you!

Dinar as Pakistani currency
Dr Muhammad Karim Beebani
In the early period of Islam the currency names used were dinar and dirham. Dinar was the name used for gold coin whereas the silver coin was called dirham. Both these currencies were in use for many centuries but as the Muslim empire started disintegrating various countries started adopting names other than these.
Dinar is the only currency name that has appeared in the Holy Qur`aan in chapter No 3 (Aal-e-Imran). This name along with dirham has also been found in many sayings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Muslims therefore have great attachment with these names rather than with rupee, taka or other currencies being used in Islamic countries at present. I shall therefore suggest that Islamic countries should adopt the currency name of dinar to show the continuation of the Islamic legacy and scriptural heritage.
On the other hand the currency names being used in Islamic countries have no such historical significance. For example in Pakistan rupee is being used which is derived from Sanskrit language and has a relationship with Hinduism. It is worth mentioning that there are at least five Islamic countries, which are already using dinar as their currency names. These are Kuwait, Jordan, Tunisia, Iraq and Bahrain. I shall therefore request government of Pakistan to consider adopting the currency name of dinar instead of a non-Islamic name of rupee.

Western style Feminists,Burger NGOs,and promoters of Kanjar culture:...ATTENTION.
At the Bonn conference, the only woman delegate has said that Burqua is a non-issue for Afghanis. It has always been worn Taliban or no-Taliban.
Sohaila Siddique,a General in the Afghan army, goes gone further to suggest to the western women, Hillary Clinton, that the ones who cannot manage their own family & marital affairs need not worry about others.
Sohaila Siddique Zindabaad,---Muslim women Paindaabaaad.Murtid & Munaafique men & women murdaabaad.

Interesting article. About a month ago a bunch of Pakistani youths made the national newspapers and the top story on all the TV bulletins when a couple of men from that locality were killed by an American missile in Afghanistan. These guys were giving interviews talking about killing British soldiers, about the rot of British society, how they were going to fight against the West, all underneath a banner saying ``Islam will dominate Britain``. Needless to say this caused outrage amongst the Goray here. What was funny was the next day these pipsqueaks appeared in the newspapers with black eyes, busted lips and broken jaws. They had been beaten up by some Muslims in that town who just want a quiet life and dont want any trouble, because they were giving them a bad name and image. And it p * * * *es me off too that they make such inflammatory statements because from the Rushdie affair to September 11th Sikhs and Hindus suffer from the racist backlash engendered by provocative idiots like that. But that made me laugh seeing their whiny faces after the good Pakistani boys had taught them a lesson.
They are part of this organisation called al-muhajiroun. Basically, they are a ``crush the west, Islam shall fly its flag from the top of 10 Downing Street and the White House`` kind of group. The most hilarious part of it all is that their leader hates the West, rails against Britain, and yet he receives income support and welfare payments from the taxpayer!
Its also not Jewish students these brave warriors try to front up to either. I heard there was a bunch of them that tried to disrupt a meeting of Sikh Students Society at a campus in London. Unfortunately for them some east end Khalsa hardnuts were looking for trouble themselves and slapped them up there too. So all in all, although I am a pacifist, I find it funny how these tinpot Jihadis keep getting ass whippings and beaten up.
Get it in perspective. They are a bunch of unemployed sexually inadequate adolescents. They will grow out of it.

It is a shame that you took my post in jest. What is more shameful is not showing remorse for your crass behavior with ladies. There is absolutely no excuse for that. Women have special previlages and it is not them but us who should protect those previlages. That is what define you as a man and them as a women. I do not believ in politically-correct-equality-of-women-so-we-can-treat-them-anywhichway-we-want bullcrap. If you dont subscribe to this plz dont mention my name in any of your posts under any of your handles from now on.
Thank you.
