DRUMZ (#423):
[Farzana: Did u figure out our little secret yet? If not, mail the relevant person and ask him what the hell a ``DRUMZ`` is. Oh yeah, Ive given this person explicit instructions to find and interview a holy man. Every damn mail I get a reply like, ``the holiest man I know is infront of the mirror (and his jackazz child)`` -brakets mine. Using him as a source Im led to believe holy men are some sort of little brown leprechauns elusive to everyone thats not a british film maker. your help would be greatly appreciated.]
…the secret, yes…it had been figured out long before the merlot went down the dry throat…hehehe…the reference made to israel was not regarding the relevant person, though that other might be relevant too…being aware of the delicate workings of the vacuum left, I had with nary an inkling of the consequences referred to most innocently to the co-kheema pillager and the destination to which I was informed you would not mind dispatching him… the remark was veiled….
...as for drumz…drumz is what drumz was… it is and it isn’t…just as the mirror shows the mortal the holy man…the jackazz child is perhaps the inner consciousness? who knows…but any help you need shall be given…for there are holy men a dime-a-dozen….british film-makers only make them look holy…as an aside I might inform you that holy cows have been sighted…and may I take the credit at much peril to reputation and the other voice that asks one to discard all such vanities much like gathering dust in one’s living quarters?…. and before I forget, we did make contact, one in the infested habitat and the other along the ghats…in my infinite wisdom I the lesser one…with potent memory of another day…asked him to look for an eating place that is full of toilet rolls… I see that as evidence of the ultimate nirvana…
lve,

sigalph,
{{Now, where would I fit :):)
Nonetheless, thanks for being cordial always.}}
May I humbly & cordially suggest that your political views are as fair as they can be; but your views on a certain bum on Chowk belongs to the lunatic fringe:)
Saxena has been called a lot of things--but ``cordial always``--wow! thats a new one!
Actually, Saxena maybe sulking in a corner somewhere. He doesnt take praise very well. Wanna be nice to him?-just throw some stones at him--he`ll be back in his element..

speaking of feminism and females speaking out,
did anyone see today`s Oprah? it was a great show about women being exploited, one heart wrenching segment was about young prostitutes in Bombay.
these girls are as young as nine or ten who are kidnapped and thrown into prostitution and sexual abuse. it was very sad to watch.

scouty,
{{hey now, no bad words about reema. she may have more cellulite than the average South Asian actress, but doesn`t she have a pretty face?
and those dances, mamma mia! ;)}}
Youre beginning to worry me, sis.
First anNy tries to proposition you...
then you post an anti-male message about men & diamonds...
& then this.....
Now, if my mind was in the gutter, I would have accused you of being a..a..le...gee, I`m so scared that I can`t even utter that word..
Well, fortunately, since my mind isnt in the gutter I will definitely NOT say it, or even think it...

Murtaza,
Thanks to the 12 headed monster, new names like yours & Dr Poonawala will always be viewed with suspicion. Especially, when you greeted us like you knew us before & have returned after some absence.
Actually, you got me good:) I was scratching my head & wondering ``why does his name not ring a bell?--gee maybe i`m getting alzheimer`s?!``. Thanks to tahmed & scout, I now know that others are puzzled too.
You better not be yet another ``head`` arising from that idiot. That guy gets his jollies by trying to F with everybody`s mind. Trouble is, only he thinks he`s smart ,even when most others think he`s a jerk.

Dr Poonawala,
While it is heartening to know that all muslims from J&K are not pro-Pakistan, I join the others who have been critical of your rather unfair, harsh & premature criticism of Rasji. Those of us who have known him on Chowk over the years, can vouch for his character as a very fair & decent man. Besides, where is it written that a journalist cant have biases (& be genuinely proud of )a musical group from his birth country?!
Which leads to another point---your own statements have given ammunition to the bigots on the other side of the fence to say ; ``see, he`s just a hindu posing as a pro-Indian muslim``.

``Sometimes, Saxenaji, I cannot help feeling like being a most miniscule minority of a miniscule minority at Chowk. A secular Bengali who is not an Awami Leaguer; who supports fully the right of self determination for the people of J&K; who thinks all these `jehadi` mercenaries in Kashmir should be mercilessly annihilated; who finds India to be an exemplary democratic contrast to the dictatorships to her West, North and Southeast (Myanmar); who is a principled supporter of Israel`s right to exist within safe borders with a united JErusalem as its eternal capital.``
i respectfully disagree with only one of the points above, but that`s not new
``Nonetheless, thanks for being cordial always.``
well, it isn`t difficult...btw, you risk having the chowk banana brigade come after you too if you appear to agree with me too often ;)

Mr. Murtaza #396 I am very fine sir, thank you for asking. And now I must admit not recalling the last time we interacted on chowk. Must be my over-taxed brain cells, so please excuse me. But could it be that you were using a different chowk-nick at the time?

``would be done done by``???What ? you have somthing coming to me ? MORE? I have to form a brotherhood group of men like ``THE HUMSHEIRAS GROUP`` (lead by FV)discriminating jointly against me .Im trying to recruit you .”
Please explain in simple language:
1 What are you recruiting me to?
2 What is the purpose of this group?
3 Why is Farzana (I assume from FV) leading it?
4 Why is it only men and not women?
5 What is coming to you?
My (apparently hard to understand) point in saying “do as you would be done by” was:
If you are unpleasant to other people, they will eventually be unpleasant back.
So if you don’t like people being unpleasant to you on Chowk, don’t be unpleasant to other people.
If you want your ideas to be treated with respect, be respectful in your posts.
Simple.
For example:
“You were away when i called you kangroo”
You called me a kangroo (kangaroo?)? Why?
Anyway, if you call me a kangaroo I say that you’re a soggy bottomed bat nosed Wallaby with a reticulated bowel. So there.
Zafar
PS Please note, I personally have no problem with you calling me a kangaroo, so long as you have no problem with me calling you a soggy bottomed bat nosed Wallaby with a reticulated bowel. When interacting with ladies, however, this kind of thing would be very badthameez.
