I enjoyed this piece of writing even though at first I thought it had traces of Bridget Jones - but it really is well written. And I guess I can say I actually know soul-less people like Anisa - here in Pakistan who are not american-born but very confused.

Ahem.. this reads more of a college student`s very personal diary I think. Don`t know if the writer is writing from a muslimahs perspective or a hindu girls, or what exactly (which could be good as well, since really that would make it all ABCD evened out then..).
Why so much name dropping may I ask? Salamanca, Ferrogamo .. And the degrees...
And the overall impression I got was this was a person from a nouveau riche family, trying to fit in too much high life into her/his life. (I say his, because some of these feelings seem very aggressive..masculine.. could be an ABCD gay`s perspective as well..).. Do women really feel like this? It`s not the money part that has to do with it at all.. it just seems too rushed.. kinda like my dorm life... everything so spaced out... want to do everything at all once...
Who gets married like this? Even the rich set have their settled ways of doing this ya. Seems like at this kid is thinking of is having money, getting a rich guy, and wearing designer clothes, and escaping to Europe to sit in some cafe and sip champagne alone and fret over past life and dream about a glorious future. And why so tense over some unknown paki guy going gaga over a gori?? Kuch samaj nahin aaya...
But, good work nonetheless.
*chowk , u leave me with bizarre feellings of inadequacy sometimes*
