@ Zahraj
[- Why did they ever let palaces be built in poverty stricken land like Iraq?]
<<<<< because they were ruled by illegitimate rulers and divided into fake countries
[- Why wasn`t the revenue from the natural resources used to build that country?]
<<<<< because the capitalist ideology (the mtoher of democracy) doesnt allow that dear. The supporters of democracy should stop blaming the people for the problems and start blaming the unjust policies of capitalism which cause them. Islam was always the only solution, and the khilafah demonstrated it for a LONG time.

<<<< LOL.... if the world is blind and has the memory-span of a goldfish thats not our problem. The islamic caliphate showed the world for a thousand yeard what islam is and how it is implemented.

The world doesnt see that the crime rate in the caliphate was virually zero as opposed to the SO CALLED ``developed countries`` where every now and then some kid kills his classmates?
What about one rape per minute in USA? the world thinks the usa is a civilized society right?
if the world cant see all this, and has forgotten the golden age of he muslims, i dont give a rats ass to what this biased world thinks!!!

[If we are realistic and honest we will have to agree that militarily the whole Muslim world bunched together would still be no match for just USA on its own]
<<<<< you are mistaken my brother :) ... the military of just 6 big muslims countries (including pakistan and iran in the list) will out number that of USA easily. Actual statistics show the resulting army will be 5 times largeer than usa`s army :)
[What have the mujahideen achieved in Kashmir except to make life even more wretched for the innocent Muslims?]
<<<<< those innocent muslims ARE the ones fighting aggainst occupation and are the ones you call mujahideen. first you say its ok to defend one`s self then you accuse the people trying to defend themselves and their lands from foreign occupaion. What is your point bro?
[Naats and Sufism in general are the way forward for us]
<<<<< What is singin naats or believing in utterly stupid concepts of sufism going to do for the ummah? sufi-ism is one of the factors which limits muslims from realizing that islam is a complete system and a way of life too instead of just spiritual beliefs and self worship.
[They know that the real strength of the Muslims is their love of the Prophet alayhisalatusalam]
<<<<< then i say they are idiots. What strength? muslims do not have any strength left. the dying power we had was ened in 1924 when the dog mustafa kamal abolished the greatest system of the world which kept a nation on top for 1000+ years.
[their belief that Allah`s Habib sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam
was `just a man` and nothing else and their denial of the super-normal and non-human qualities of Allah`s Messenger sal Allahu alayhi wasallam.]
<<<<< con you prove otherwise??? all prophets including the last prophet (peace be upon him) wer HUMANS. They could do nothing super-natural of their own will but were given these miracles from Allah.
The Qur`an 62:2, {He it is who has sent among the unlettered ones a
messenger of their own; to recite unto them His ayah-s (verses), and to
purify them, and to teach them the Book and the wisdom.}
the ayah clearly shows the messenger was ``one of them`` i.e. a normal human being.
The Qur`an 33:21, {Verily in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example}
how can people follow the example of some one supernatural? The prophet (peace be upon him) was a human, like us, that is why he is an exmaple which CAN be followed.
you claim to love the prophet but do not follow what he said. Did the propphet tell you to sing naats? did the prophet or his sahaba (people who knew him more than you ever can) ever advocate such hippy style spirituality???
The west does not fear such spiritualized muslims. Rahter they support such concepts. That is why we see americans and british supporting sufi-ism so much.
When muslims were at their peak, when they excelled in every field of engineering and science and had the most stable and civil society in the world while the west was engulfed in the dark ages, do you see naats and pir sahab culture or do you see a united politically active and rational ummah? You cant deny history bro. I invite you to read the quran and understand the prophets life first before you start claiming to know how to solve the problems of muslims.
Does israel oppress and occupy palestinians and their land because they are afraid of why much you want to spiritualize yourself or how much you love your prophet? Does the capitalist west fear your personal beliefs?
It is the treat of the re-establishment of the islamic khalafa which will unite muslims again and give them a platform based on the very principles it was first established. They fear the intellectual and political challenge islam presents when implemented as a complete ideology. Islam is a `deen`, do not degrade it to a mere spiritual religion which cares not about lifes affairs.
the fear that muslims, if not limited to spiritual thoughts, will actually understand the need for an ideological islamic state.
[Suah al- Maida : 44] ``If anyone rules by other than what Allah has revealed they are kafiroon (disbelievers).`` <<<<< so what difference will it make wheter we are spiritual or not if we live in societies which do not implement Islam on every level.
[Suah al-An`am :57] ``The rule is to none but Allah`` <<< why still `muslims` do not understand why they have declined?
isnt it clear that unless we implement Islam on a state level along with implementing it on ourselves will be see the rise of this ummah again????
Allah says in the quran that the believers (muslims) are the best nation,..... World Health Agency says 40% of the worlds population live on just $1 a day. How does the great nation plan on solving the problem of humaniy? by linving the lives of sufis and carrying their spiritual faith within todays capitalist infected world? Isnt it our duty to show the world the ideology and system islam presents, and to show them hoe perfec this system was, is and always will be?

``With the weapon of love and superior moral and ethical behaviour we can convert the ...``
This reminds me of a story we used to read as a child where an ass wears a lion`s skin and tries to pass off as a lion. But is caught eventually when it speaks.
This is the state of Islamic apologists. They keep trying to shout about how `peaceful` Islam is and how Islam preaches justice and freedom for all. But even before they finish there is a bombing in the name of Allah or a Abdur Rehman is sentenced to death because he tried to convert to chriatianity.
Talk is cheap. The world is yet to see the `ethical behavior` of Islam.

This post is to `hamidm2 `.
You havn`t even read the Quran. I don`t understand how you can just say that the Quran is outdated. I also don`t understand how you can say that the Islamic values showed on media is true Islam. One more thing I don`t understand is how can you say the the Islamic Bank system is wrong. Do you even know how it is run?
I suggest you go read the Quran and then try debating that the Quran is outdated. Then you`ll actually make any sense. Cause the posts you`ve written are confusing Islam with how muslims behave.
Not all so called muslims represent the true values of Islam. I`ve seen imams and Mullahs who are ignorrent of the values of Islam.

He All. I must say a very nice article indeed. Well here are a few of my points.
Goverments in so called Muslim countries, the presidents, leader (whoever they are) are all.....each an every one of them are all IDIOTS.
Now Why am I being so harsh. That is because there is not a single leader or president or prime minister in any of the so called Muslim countries that is wise enough to deal with matters we are facing today appropriatly.
For instance take the goverment of Pakistan. I am a Pakistani myself but hate the goverment. Because we have poor people living on streets, hospitals that lack basic nessecities and what the goverment does is use most of the ECONOMY ON MILITARY.
Why in the world are we using our money for the military, to fight over Kashmir with India. We can`t take care of our own country and we are thinking about others. We have people dying being killed, violence is increasing, drug trafficing is increasing, mosques are being used for reasons that go against its purpose and ISLAM. We need to take care of that FIRST. BUT NOOOOOO we go around being proud of a new missile and our military.
Have you ever been to a military kent those colonies of residence. Its like your in a first world country while the rest of society can go screw itself.
Muslims need to start thinking wisely rather then using their emotions. Those so called muslims that go around killing innocent americans and carrying guns are complelety insain.
We need to overthrow our goverments and establish a new one that takes the ISLAMIC VALUES properly rather then creating fundamentalists. Because with those ISLAMIC VALUES everyone will be given equal rights, the poor will be given Zakat, Non-Muslims will be given the right to practise their faith openly, bloodshed will end and so on.
Its OUR OWN FAULT THAT WE ARE IN THIS CURRENT SITUATION NOT ANYONE ELSES.

Here is a column by the ONLY MAN left among the Army-Embedded Effeminate men ‘journalists’ of the United States.
Here is Maureen Dowd of the New York Times dishing to the bragging NeoCONS of the ‘Bush’s Republican Guards’ – who have CONNED the country of morality, decency. and legality – and turned the US from a respected land of Jefferson and Lincoln -- into a Prime Pariah country of the world – within a short span of two years – besides stealing the Trillion dollars surplus from the hands of future children of the United States -- for EXPENSIVE war mongering, looting, pillaging of third world countries.
Chest Banging, Here and There
By MAUREEN DOWD
WASHINGTON
There`s nothing scarier than conservatives in transports of social and political engineering.
The Republicans strain to appear diffident in Iraq, not wanting to be cast as overbearing imperialists. (Lt. Gen. Jay Garner, the new American viceroy, affects a Dockers look while meeting Arabs in jackets and ties.)
The Bushies pretend that we don`t want an all-access pass to Iraqi bases (we do); that we are not interested in influencing the disposition of Iraqi oil (we are); that we will stay out of Iraqi politics, even if they go fundamentalist (we won`t); and that we will leave Iraq soon (we can`t)....
Mr. Gingrich denounced Colin Powell`s domain as a ``broken bureaucracy of red tape and excuses`` and demanded it be ``transformed,`` like Rummy`s.
He attacked Mr. Powell for announcing that he would visit (rather than bomb) Damascus and for the prewar failure of diplomacy with Turkey — conveniently ignoring the fact that it was the Pentagon hawk Paul Wolfowitz who had tried and failed to talk turkey with Turkey.
Rummy, who has taken on a Mars-like glow among carnivorous conservatives who crave more and more red meat, circulated a Kubrickian memo on North Korea, according to The Times`s David Sanger.
While Mr. Powell pressed for diplomatic talks in China to help de-escalate tensions between the U.S. and North Korea, Rummy`s memo suggested that the U.S. and China gang up on the crazed Kim Jong Il to force a regime change.
____________________________________________________________
Even as the conservatives thump their chests in Washington, they have gotten a little nervous watching throngs of men flogging their chests bloody in Karbala. Their coolly rational schemes for establishing 18th-century-style democracy have run up against the 8th-century practices of Islam.
____________________________________________________________
The Bushies were unpleasantly surprised by the sudden muscularity of the Shiite clerics in southern Iraq.
According to The Times`s Douglas Jehl, Iranian-trained operatives have crossed into southern Iraq to help the Shiites who are demanding a state like Iran`s.
Administration officials have whispered other fears to reporters — that some of the weapons of mass destruction may have been removed to sell on the terrorism black market, accelerating the proliferation they had hoped to prevent.
Or that Saddam loyalists are sneaking back into the government, waiting for the Americans, with their short attention spans, to pull out.
As long as those Baathists haven`t seen Americans triumphantly digging up Saddam`s corpse, or his W.M.D., they can always hope.(NYT)

ZahraJ #102 Welcome back. The hell with talk about the ummah and to hell with the fraud military dictators, kings, mullahs and other rascals who have screwed the ummah to kingdom come. How have you been?
#102 Posted by ZahraJ on April 20, 2003 7:32:19 pm
A good topic covering various missing factors from the very soul of the Ummah.
``Realising one`s strengths and weaknesses is also wisdom and at the present time in history the Ummah is in no position to militarily challenge anyone!``
Indeed, a very poignant point.
Some corrections that must be taken into account: The Ummah is in no position to do any good to anyone on the face of earth. The Ummah must head out for Himalayas and conduct some introspection. Following questions must be asked during the exercise:
- Why did they ever let palaces be built in poverty stricken land like Iraq?
- What the hell is Fidayaen or whatever? Who are they? or who were they?
- Why wasn`t the revenue from the natural resources used to build that country?
- None of the Muslim countries ever raised any hue and cry on how the Iraqi retard was mistreating his masses. Weren`t those masses part of the Ummah? Or that Ummah`s definition is still under construction. All this Ummah fervor has been religiously invoked now since Iraq is in havoc. Since the westerners treaded Iraq for wiping out the incompetent man.
- How many Muslim rulers in the current day and age have ever cared to focus on empowering their people through education? What`s their focus? Palaces, malls, attracting tourists, and other silly priorities ??? How many have gone into establishing more institutes of quality like Al-Azhar? It is very obvious that all these Ummah chanting countries have mistaken priorities. Pakistan is another great example, still not part of the middle eastern belt. The country`s ruling governments have led 50 plus years fighting on Kashmir and then later in the game on Afghanistan. There is no sense of responsibility towards what they have. All the uproar is for Kashmir, Afghanistan and other god forsaken places. What kind of Ummah nonsense logic is this? Leaving one`s own home at the mercy of anarchy and claiming to be on a jehadi expedition to save fellow Muslims. Plain rubbish!
The other interesting factor to keep in mind is that the US led invasion had soldiers who were following orders. They were ordered to clean-up Iraq. Well, war has its own repurcussions. The soldiers will come back when asked to. Discipline ought to be appreciated since that has never been a trade-mark of the Muslim Ummah. They have a lot of other things to take pride in but discipline.
``I want to say that the importance of the spiritual revolution is that until our hearts are purified and until we internalise Islam and become Mu`mins we can never hope to achieve success as Allah has promised us victory in the Koran conditionally with the condition being that we are MUMIN.``
How do you determine the purification of a human heart? What are the conditions of satisfaction to achieve ``that`` level of purification?
Kindly excuse my ignorance for I never realized that the Ummah went into a revolutionary mode and came out with a new scientific development, capable of analyzing spiritual depths, emotional leanings and related details.
A worth applauding progress!
Did that occur in Iraq? or Iran? or Syria? I am sorry it must have been Pakistan.
Hopefully, you can extract some points from my above discourse since they ought to be part of the very soul of the Ummah.
Regards.

Regards.
