ana_dobarah #50 The order for coffee has been cancelled, and per your wishes tea has been ordered. Now if only we can get urstruly and arjun to start performing. Please forgive them if they dont, though. They are very shy in public, and start throwing dirt at hindus and muslims only when they think no one is watching.
So...please be patient with them, and soon enough this dynamic duo to start their show....if they do not, tickets will be refunded, and the tea and namak paras will be courtesy of the house.
PS: The next show is scheduled on the YLH board, where young YLH will do the moonwalk wearing an achkan just like Jinnah. Arjun will sing about Muslim Jehadis and Backward Pakis, while Urstruly will post loud cries of challenge to any hindu wishing to engage in a dirt-posting match with him.

arjun #51 ``For the sake of forum sanity, i am agreeing with him...`` I dont think so, as one can see reading your posts. You cannot stop mudwrestling now. Tickets have been sold, the audience is seated and wants to see dirt fly.
No get off your butt and throw a dirt post about muslims to urstruly. Also, tell urstruly to stop whining about not responding to hindus, and to take it like a man.

tahmed ji....i live a decaffeinated life these days, but i`m always more inclined towards chai than coffee :-)

Saminasha #47 yes indeed. We have the urstruly vs. arjun show going on here. Admission ticket is five dollars. Namak paras and chai (or coffee, in case of those so inclined, like ana_daborah) are free.
Now sit back, relax and enjoy the show. In case of an emergency (i.e. Chowk Gods adding new articles, thereby forcing this one off the front pages), walk, do not run, to the nearest exit.

thank you. not having my coffee as ursfalsely puts it, i often forget to ignore his continuous brainless foaming at the mouth. I will be more mindful in the future. :-)

What kind of tamasha is passing for debate here? Is it Urstruly Sahib against Everyone Else with Arjun pelting him with namak paras from the side?

Ahmadzai
The people who really deserve to be in Guantanamo Bay concentration camp are the ground crew of the Logan, Washington, and Newark Airports where those planes were hijacked. If the investigation of hijackings were conducted according to the scietific principles of investigations then these people from janitors to loaders to the airport managers would have to be investigated. But no such investigation was ever done. No one has even bothered to blame a one single ground crew memeber as to how 19 hijackers slipped right under their noses from three difffernt airports.

Dear Hindus
Please refrain from addressing me directly unless you have answers to any of the questions posed in post # 7. It is not that I have to read your posts when you address me but it is the bay sharami of yours that bothers me.
Thank you.

ahmedzai #36 I was amused to see you (new to chowk) trying to have an intelligent discussion with the messrs arjun and co. I gave it four or five exchanges before you would reach the same conclusion I reached many months ago, i.e. in your last post where you advise Mr Arjun ``And you my friend, forgot to post a sensible message yet again.``
Of course, our own urstruly and others are hardly shining examples of mature posters either. Nevertheless, welcome to chowk, and to the fine menagerie of specimen that we keep. We keep arjun next to the monkey cage. Only, even the monkeys are complaining that this guy shrieks too much. Also, make sure you visit our insane animals cage, and ask for Master Jay.

faisaluno #33 On how japanese colonialism was different from european: i think the japanese attempted colonialism (starting with their war on china in the 1930`s), but never really had time to establish themselves as colonial rulers. Whether their colonial rule would have been like the relatively enlightened British rule in India or the totally exploitative Belgian rule in Congo is therefore academic (there were I understand only one or two college graduates in Congo when the Belgians left). The fact is that their treatment of conquered people and of prisoners of war was incredibly brutal, and their emperor (who transformed himself after WWII from a modern day Chengiz Khan to an innocent gentleman-scholar puttering around his botanical gardens) is probably the most devious character of the 20th century.
I am glad you admit to stretching facts when changing the US embargo on exports to japan to a US blockade of japan. Please dont do that in future, since truth is more important than making points. :-)
As for what fdr knew about the japanese intentions, the theory you refer to (i.e. he knew that war was coming with the Axis Powers, but left it to the japanese to make the first move) does seem plausible. Of course the option would have been to take some kind of pre-emptive action, e.g. placing a naval blockade (generally considered an act of war) on japan. But then he would have done exactly what you initially accused him of doing!! :-)

Maulana Truly,
``If you could dig up old newpapers you would see that the taliban decree of wearing safron badges was applicable only to local hindus and Indians residing in Afghansitan in those days``
So local hindus were Indians!! If I extend your argument further, Hindus living in Pakistan are also Indians. and extending it further, muslims are Pakistanis. Will remember this when dealing with any muslim.
PS: do call me if you need help moving. I would be glad to put an identification tag on your neck whenever uncle tom decides to do that.
