pagalinsaan:

I think we have struck a compromise.

The match begins in a few hours...the team must be very anxious...may Muhammad Ali be with them!!

OKAY! YOU WIN!!

MUHMMAD ALI IS THE GREATEST!!!!!

But in that case, Waqar Younis should say,

``First of all, thanx to mighty Muhammad Ali``

:)

I beg to differ.

Muhammad Ali IS the greatest. Of all all, all ALL time.

but as far as prayers go, the power of one billion Indians can easily outweigh that of 140 million Pakistanis. but i agree, defeat ultimately should not be blamed. i was merely saying that people pray and then go blame players for not fulfilling their prayers. i consider the cricket team my heroes despite all their shortfalls.

Again, please get your facts straight. Muhammad Ali IS the greatest.

Dear Rozaiba,

Mohammad Ali is not the greatest, God is :) lol but your analysis although logical is based on a faulty assumption that defeat must be ``blamed``. You need to think in a broader scope to understand what I`m saying.

If it was ramzan, like in 1992, Allah could bless Zaheer Khan coz he`s a muslim too, in defeating Pakistan :) He can do so on the 1st of March. In that case, Waqar Younis should say, I`d like to condemn ``mighty`` Allah``.

If its ``mighty Allah``, then the movie`s name must be ``Almighty Joe Young`` :)

pagalinsaan:

before the George Foreman fight, Muhammad Ali the greatest once said something like

`All I need is a prayer. And when that prayer reaches the right place, the woooorld will tremble....`

however, he was Muhammed Ali and could say anything.

pRayers and pLayers:

more than the players, those who pray should accept it if their prayers go unanswered. players should not be blamed for a loss. either believe in the players capacity or believe God will formulate a victory. if you believe in the latter and a defeat occurs, God is to blame. if it`s the former, only then do you sound reasonable blaming the players.

regardless, I`m hoping Imran Khan`s `cornered Tiger` theory comes into play. i hope our players aren`t pussy cats.

one more question for pak captain ...after every match gets over he has to start his reply to the media with a `bismillah``!!!....in real life does any pakistani begin his conversation in daily life in that manner???

Re: #3,

I pointed out earlier too, in a different thread, that when you start thinking winning and loosing cricket has got something to do with religion, then you can not, or atleast dont deserve to win the world cup.

I think in the 1992 World Cup we were lucky enough to have it in ramadan. Not this time. So tough luck pakistani team and supporters!!!
