I think this D`souza character is a liar and a fraud and his ass must be thrown into the jail. I would rather beleive Jay and Arjun who tell me every day that such things can`t happen in India and India is about to establish colonies over the moon in a couple of years (if ISI lets `em) . D`souza lies.

However, there are no guarantees for harimau. I can bet my sweet smelling, wheatish brown sooraj bansi ass that the stocky tyson who hit that woman was harimau. Name tells all. What kind of mother would name his son harimau - ugghh.

I like this, keep your mind open even if the other person doesn`t . . . so when are you meeting him, where?

D`Souza

That was first hand account of something I had only read or heard.

It is not good for India.

The partition has already radicalized Pakistan to quite an extent. Now this dangerous trend in India as a reaction to Pakistan is disturbing.

The Pakistanis on the Chowk may kill me. But I do have an uneasy feeling in my heart that Partition has created more problems than it has solved.

One Subcontinent with large minorities may just have produced a more tolerant society. Malaysia and its large minorities are an example.

A radicalized India would be disastor for this region. But I think that the Indian democarcy might just filter out this lunatic fringe over a period of time.

Ah, here comes another of the likes of Praful Bidwai, Kuldip Nayar, Pankaj Mishra, and Arundhati Roy, the so-called secular humanists. I have followed Dilip`s columns religiously on rediff over the past year or so and observed that he has excellent story-writing abilities with this unique knack of twisting facts to make aggressors look like victims and vice-versa. And although he claims to be a software professional, I strongly suspect he could be a lawyer. Beneath this thin facade of pain and disenchantment, there lies a deep hatred for anything Hindu. This incident could be real, but also could be fiction, given Dilip`s abundant talents and penchant for espousing causes that always portray Muslims and Christians as victims but never as the aggressors. I have never heard him speak against Christian missionaries inspite of the large-scale havoc they have wreaked throughout India by aggressively proselytizing to `harvest more souls`, as the pope put it. I have seen him write against majority communalism with missionary zeal, but never seen him deplore minority communalism. And although I do not condone the VHP hate-mongers who deserve to be sent to Guantanamo Bay, I dare say people like Dilip are equally, if not more responsible.

[I can bet my sweet smelling, wheatish brown sooraj bansi ass.....]

Sweet smelling.... would that be before or after you were sodomized by Ali1?

Suraj bansi.... I didn`t know there were any Suraj bansis in Saudi Arabia or Central Asia. Maybe you are a descendant of Alexander. Yeah, that is it.

[What kind of mother would name his son harimau - ugghh.]

Certainly, a mother who would NOT name her son Ali (Eunuch).

Thanks for asking.

Shobia, urstruly,

I am in fact proud of people like dsouza who write articles like this and these are the corrective mechanisms. Grim potrayal of the dowry deaths have led to several legislative changes, the latest is that if any woman dies with in 7 years of marriage due to untantural causes, the inlaws are to be charged with murder and investigated. The implementation of course in ststes like bihar is far way off, but in many other states the effect is spectacular, now with the wives black mailing the husbands with suicide threats.
Having said that now show me one article in a pak news paper asking to honour abdus salam. Show me one article which says that killers of Samia Sarwar were not charged because it is legal to kill in pakistan. Show me one article which says that numerous hindu temples were demolished in pakistan in response to babri masjid.

Learn from chowk, the ideas that I post about pakistan you will never ever see in pak publications. If you believe in self correcting pakistan, If you believe that the pak professor who said that parents of mohammed could not heve been born muslims was not worth the death meted out to him by the pak legal system, read my posts, frame it, and read it every day.

Good one. Police must have been looking to `keep the peace`, and persuading the women was easier than fighting the men.

Any comments on the forcible shutdown of the state by CPM yesterday in Kerala?

Ok, where is the other stocky fella, Arjun? Is he looking into his suitcase for the t-shirt with Paki flag yet or not? We must credit Mr. D`souza for writing this article though - at least it has made Arjun take leave from his hindu religious nut slave driver employers for a change. Vacation is good.

Jay

I have a better suggestion for you. Use the scroll bar and go to the top of this page where the title of this article is; you will see an icon that says ``Print``; hit it. Print out the article and replies and then stomp on it. And that goes for other closet hindu religious nuts on this board as well.

Good piece of writing, but i fail to see any point in this kind of articles. As a person living in Gujarat I have first hand experience of what happened during that forgettable period. There is no way any one can rationalize the outcome! VHP indeed is a hate filled senseless organisation with which any remotely sensible person can barely associate himself with. It was rather unfortunate- and I blame extremely weak governance- that this was the only way the general population could vent out.

Anyhow my point is...this is the India we are talking about here, and whatever D` souza experinced might have been note worthy but definately not quite significant in my opinion. Only thing this article does is, it suggests that there is something seriously flawed with the situation but fails to reagrd the larger context.
