NFP, I love the way you write but sometimes you get so much offensive. Just try to avoid this. In the mean time, I feel you are one of the people I love to read.
Perhaps you need more Prozac! ;)

Masood, An example or the next generation of Pakistan? The confusion among our kids is leaving them somewhere between no where. They are confused what they really want to be? They are confused by the double standards of our society. We should decide what culture, moral values and access to the media we should provide to our children. Either we should stop importing the globalization or we should stop pretending that we once had our own morals and we are still proud of them.

i wish you could come up with something constructive instead of writing sick and decadent useless critique on issues which are beyond your comprehension. If you cant write positive stuff then go back to your retirement. Spare us critique on what is a means of earning for other people. IF your wife can be a professional banker and earn money through it why cant Abrar make money through his sponsors. Its his profession. He wont receive divine help in order to run his house would he. You have no right to complain about how other people make money. Just because you didnt amount to something positive doesnt mean that others should nt do that either.

nvp2003:

``Old or not, they`re still THERE!! And anyway, so is murder, corruption, etc ... all `old` vices, but it doesn`t mean they should not be addressed! ``

Whatever man. Strings, Junoon, Abrar... all sponsored by corporations. Strings with their `urbane` pop/rock, Junoon with their...everything and Abrar with his pulse grabbing lyrics...all make the most awesome of music. Arm chair critics crying over real Artists` accepting sponsorship is disgusting. If a performer(s) hasn`t got it in `em, sponsor or no sponsor, they won`t last. NFP used to raise hell over Junoon after Inquilaab. But he had to shut the hell up after `Parvaaz` came out. On the other hand, he praised Haroon`s album. But had to shut up once (or ignore his `anti-corporate itch`- which is more like a form of schezophernia) Haroon signed with Pepsi. Critics mean squat. They are `fair weather friends` at best trying to SELL themselves. :)

He died. So did mom and dad and his Caucasian friends.

“Shaheed!” said the local mullah.
“Shareef!” said the middle-classes.
“Sniper firing!” said the lower classes.
“Osama’s love child!” said the Americans.
“Conspiracy!” said the government.
“RAW!” said the ISI.
“Coke!” said Abrar-ul-Haq.

CRIME AND JIHAD

Under pressure from foreign countries, the flow of funds to jihadists is reducing. There are also signs that the crimes, the carjackings, the kidnappings etc are being carried out by organised groups and the pak police and military are in cohout because the funds are channeled to jihadic activiies. At last the jihad is reaching a self susytaing level, where the rich and poor have to contribute, rather compulsarily.
Finally the contours of a truly isamic nation founded on TNT is emrging. The military provides the secure environment for the jihadists, first to loot the other pakistanis, and then to move on to the jihadic heavens. In the happy mood, the ghost might need a lot more sherry, and a few bacon.

as a picky aside, Serbians are Orthodox Christians. Not Catholics. But since Crusades were launched by the Catholics, you could have had Masood want to join the Croatians who are Catholics and who also have a somewhat antagonistic relationship with Bosnian muslims.
