I think one question every human being must have asked..as a child from his/her mother. That is, Mother, where did I come from? And the mother had told him/her--You came from my womb.
As & when the mankind will be able to give a convincing reply to the child that where did he come from, God will cease to exist. But not till then.

I guess the answer to that question is neither going to be convincing and simple without the concept of God where all the unknown things are taken care by the God and rest all the known stuff is told to the child.
