``but the strong determination to write allowed me to overcome the loss of my muse..``-There is some promise there..but all the subsequent attempts at humour fall flat. For eg.-
``The rest is a reflection of my life and its trash in Pakistan (and it’s not the same as saying my trashy life in Pakistan).`` I suppose this might read better in Urdu Hindi; English has normally proved a dry languge when describing such sub-continental eccentricities.

Throwing trash is nothing big ... a lot of nations do it ... but .... there is one thing that is seen especially in moi Pakistan.
Yes .... the phenomena of releasing bladder fluid on the road side.
Sometimes it feels to me as Pakistan is declared as national toilet in Preamble of Contitution of The Most Islamic Republic of Pakistan. There are people who wont just exercise their arms to whirl trash but would whip ``IT`` out and release their bladder pressure wherever they want. They wont see where they are ... who is around them ... just keep watching the walls on the road side and you will surely see ... a man in his 40s sitting on his legs in squat position focusing his attention over the projectile that is doing graffitii on the wall of some house or office, with one hand on the back with the waist strap.
One of my friend had a bd habit of stopping his car, whenever he see`s an ``activity`` in progress, and constantly honk his horn to disrupt the jolly moments of the guy in squat posititon. But that never helped .... cuz once if the flood is unleashed ... no horn can stop it.
This have given rise to a `saying` tht I have seen on walls except for posh areas to deter use of walls as ammonia graffiti. I wont like to reapeat it here .... cuz everyone of us knows it for sure.

Good. There was one such pile that started building outside my home in a reasonably posh area. I had to install a camera to catch the thief. Happened to be my next door neighbors.

[Parents should be credited for encouraging kids to engage in this activity from infancy; throwing candy wrappers on the road is the first step, soon to be followed by bigger and greater masses....]
This left me gigling...u r funny.

Yet another trash article, dumped on the side of a lovely chowk. This is real trivia, pakistan is a non viable state, the justice, police and legislative systems are collapsing. What is the great deal about people dumping trash every where, the entire country is turning into a jihadic grave.

Faiza Sahiba - Good one.
Even with the complete disregard that we put our trash bag out in the street, it is a bit ironic that we sense an invasion of privacy when a group of people gets together and starts examining the contents of the bag at night - holding each paper in front of the torch light; looking closly at one artical and then passing it on to a second person for an even closer look; sometimes exchanging meaningful smiles upon discovering something we can`t see from behind the curtain of our window. Even when we discard our trash with disdain, it is still OUR trash.
For those of who hate their lives, just look at trash - it is born to be discarded.

According to you Pak is not viable and Chowk is deterioating too.....yet you continue to interact on topics/arcticles on Pakistan at Chowk. I think you have some real issues about yourself to deal with here, go figure them out before you post another message. Have you heard of freedom of speech? if you dont like to dont READ. Simple!
Good luck with the therapy.

Hello rahul_capri sahib
Thanks for reading. I think its ok for me to `fall flat` every once in a while; I soar so high most of the time that to be human again, I voulnatrily resolve to `fall flat`:)
Hello Malyck Sahib
LOL, thanks for reminding me of something that I have been trying very hard since early childhood to forget.
Hello Ijaz_Gul Sahib
Aakhir paroosion key bhi to kuch huqooq hotay hain:) My khala had the same problem and her chowkidar finally caught the person piling up trash around their driveway; lo and behold it was the chowkidar uncle from across the street:)
Hello SoulKeeper Sahib
Thanks for reading and appreciating:) You write very well yourself, poetry that is.
Hello Jay
I am truly perturbed to know that a person of your good literary taste not only read my trashy article, but took out valuable time from his life to post a response. How shall I express my gratitude to a representative of chowk`s literary intelligentsia? There is a word I would like to use for ppl like you, but I am not a fervent supporter of profanity and that too on ``lovely`` chowk`s front page:) Ciao
Hello Malik Sahib
HaHaHa:) we are inherently possessive, even if it is in regards to trash.

#9 -- very well said pardaisi -- actually this guy seems to connect even the most mundane or seemingly non-political of topics -- like people throwing trash out of their homes -- with jihad --

#5,
Excuse me Sir, but the situation back home is not so sqeaky clean either. The scenario is just the same as described by the authour. Garbage dumping is more of a sub-continental malaise and not confined to Pakistan or India alone, regardless of where the country on the whole is heading.

#15 Posted by faizahussain on June 4, 2004 9:18:26 am
Hello Omar Sahib
Your Dawn (if I may call it that) refused to publish one of my more serious articles about Land Reforms, thus it wasn`t even worth submitting this to them. However, my gibberish gets printed in a paper in Houston all the time, and I get my thirty three (just like that number) seconds of fame from that:)
Take care and thanks for stoping by. Shuddup just doesnt convey the same effect:)are we keeping it PG nowdays on Chowk front page?
