Thanks for that long explanation on the other board. You are a Pucca Congress Wallah. So there is a big difference between the BJP & Congress on the philosophy of Hindustan & Hinduism.

i thought Sri Lankan shippies are/were over represented in proportion to their population. tons used to hang around in mumbai to get their second mate (or something like that). now, these folks were the big-time party guys and very very gay. incidentally, how come the actress in the play sounds like a lankan?
now you see the sri-lankan and bengalis a lot on cruise ships as stewards.
incidntally, shell (or is it exxon?) is currently running a full-page ad in newsweek and other magazines. i dont recall what exactly it says, but it shows Sam Singh, a very bald master of a tanker smiling at you.

veeresh:
This time I liked the prologue more.
How did you find out that the people in the front row were the snoops?

Your quote:
``If there is one sentiment I believe in, then that is this - India and Pakistan can, as separate countries but with motive forces together, rule the world.``
100 percent agreement on this one.

HAHA. Good one dude. Tthere was a Pakistani Lt Gen Talat Masood who made the case that the reason Pakistan was in much worse shape then India was because the Punjabis were the majority there whereas they were diluted in India by other ethnic groups.

“(Why they simply could not play 3-pattee or flash well is an endearing mystery to this day, though.)”
Ha!Ha! Ha! Obviously you never met real Pakistanis. Most of the guys you met on ships were clearly of barely middle class families. Some may be from Mohajir type families, where playing cards is still a taboo-Against religion- perhaps.
Flash or 3-pattee as you put it, is a fairly common game in Pakistan- at least with people who have some money to spare. Rummy(sp) is much more popular and played with different variations. Flash has its own variations such as: when you can double and when you cannot go blind. Jokers or wild cards are also popular variations.
I happened to have financed part of my trip to India by playing Flash in Delhi. It was fun. The guys were really sharp but I managed. One guy actually was totally pissed off because a Pakistani won so much of money.
“India and Pakistan can, as separate countries but with motive forces together, rule the world.”
Another pipe dream that seems like is shared by all Punjabis. I am astonished at the amount of delusions these guys have.
If these two or one group of people on both side of the border have their acts together, at least people in both countries have some chance of getting a slightly better deal but Punjabis have to mess up royally and nobody can change that.
