``Most Muslim states today are inner-directed, trying to harmonize modernity with religion internally``
Good joke.. You should write a full length article on this...

#47,tahmed32:
Happy to receive your comments.
Note, however, the following:
1. By changing name, I also meant the same things as indicated by you. But of course, I did not have the technical knowledge. Thanks for supplying the concrete steps.
2. I agree with your assessment of A. Q. Khan. It has been internationally established that A. Q. Khan`s greatest asset is his ability to smuggle out of Holland the secret documents that outlined the isotopic enrichment process. He certainly is a good business man as he is reputed to have secret accounts with smuggled out Pakistani assets.
As for Musharraf being forced to do the good things, there is no harm, atleast he is doing them. May be the truth has dawned on him now.
3. I agree that Pakistan does not need to be civilized. But what needs to be done is that the rabid maulvis should be put at their proper place so that the majority of Pakistanis who are really like the majority of Indians may be able to make their mark. There are probably equal number of sillies in both countries.
4. I do not understand your hare-dog analogy.

Rais Khan did show me how to perform in ``savari`` taal. Actually he used the been of Zia Mohiuddin Dagar and Zia Mohiuudin Dagar himself. It was funny too see Zia sliding up and down the very been he plays. LOL. Poor Z.A.Dagar died spitting blood in the hospital after some days.

OK Noora Pehalwan! I have heard Rais Khan is teaching you how to play in ``Savari`` taal! He is immensely pleased with the jugalbandi that you been giving him in ``Savari`` taal. Some ride he is having with you!
I am sure Mush would also love to have you perform your artform in private.

I suppose people like foul talk and uncontrolled exchanges of unsupported recriminations. Boy, does not that show the childish streak in all of us!

re: harimau

No chance that any Muslim-majority state will live at peace with itself or its neighbors. Naipaul is right when he said that Saudi Arabia and Iran ought to be wiped out
+++
Why single out Islam alone? Naipaul`s [crazy] formula should also be applied to India and Israel. After all, the only 2 states that expanded their borders through military invasion during the last 60 years are Hindu-majority and Jewish-majority states. The former invaded Kashmir in 1948, the latter occupied Palestinian territories in 1967.
Of the 50+ Muslim countries today, how many states are occupying another peoples` lands? I doubt if there are any. Most Muslim states today are inner-directed, trying to harmonize modernity with religion internally. So Naipaul`s theory falls flat on its face.

hello psycopath :-D
(See that is a big smile)
Have you been anally examined by the FBI for your terrorist connections? Every time I read one of your posts I imagine a fat boy with male breasts having a really bad case of haemmoroids.
Well my main questions are, did you enjoy the rectal examination, and is your religious psychopathy the result of the microscopic length of your genitalia?
*Reverse kick to psychopaths head*
;-)

I see ballu Pehalwan is on his rant again. Is this one in Dhammar or in Chautal. Seriously become my shagird and I will teach you a worth while art form. Atleast then you will have some way of spending your time in a constructive way. Your closed country and polluted enviorenment has made a moron out of you.

I have a better one. How about Indian-Butt-Kicker?
Singh might be whatever he claims he is, but from his countenance he looks really like a moron.

I don’t buy into the non sense that the Asstt. Editor of the Dawn should always be an editor. Your contributions as an individual brought a qualitative change to this site.
as long as mr. quraishi was contributing his editorials to chowk as articles or ilogs, he was representing the ``paper`` he works for to some extent. some of us would have liked to see that happen with a little more maturity.
but fik`r not. mr. quraishi will not leave this site. if people of his ilk like barachota and even hamid mahmood can linger here defiantly in the face of all this hatred and ``stick`` it so immaturely to ``those horrible hindoos`` (to borrow from another hamid), there is nothing to stop our erstwhile assistant editor of dawn from doing the same.
qualitative change?! now that was a good laugh.

I find myself agreeing 100% with my friend Hamid ;-) AGAIN
I would certainly not want Paki-land to be ruled by someone like Manmohan Singh either.....I mean, why bother with anyone else when your fauji is so top heavy with potential tinpots? After all, havn`t we heard this mantara repeated again and again that ``The Army is the BEST institution in Paki-land``?
