Shaukat Aziz’s Speech: Hypocrisy at its Best

I would have writtenn something but for the remarks of urstruly about the `testicle`. I disagree with urstruly on this point- calling Shoukat a testicle. Testicle is a very important part of the body if not the most important one. He is in fact only a batman employed only to polish the boots of his boss. Why to expect any thing more from him. He is simply what they call in Punjabi a `Chabbal`.

To expect secularism from the man whose first priority was to bow to the black stone and then perform a ritual for rain making in Saudi Araab, both displayed in the TV for welfare of the people, all at public expence, is nothing but a joke with such a serious matter. It is perhaps the result of those very `riakarana` rituals that according to a news report the Meterological Department of Pakstan has made a forecast that Pkistan is likely to face drought for the next 15 years.

He is in fact the perfect antithesis of the great Quaid. Quaide Aazam`s plitical power was based purely on his character. He scrupulously avoided use of his personal religiocity for that purpose.

It surprises me to see that people have so much time to write articles on this testicle - even the disparaging ones. he is a non-entity.

Infact best thing about this article is its English and use of Latin. the author has highlighted problems and the causes for these problems are wrongly highlighted. the blasphemy law is the core reason behind rampant coruption in the society. Now we cannot expect a prime minister to come forward like Mao and announce some big projects and say that this is going to change the whole socio-economic scenario of a country, even then it took nearly 50 years to achieve the growth experienced by China now. the Pakistani leadership (military or other) needs to follow an indepedent foriegn policy w/out any dictat from US and then there may be some progress.

Do you have any slightest clue about earthy facts??? Even if we have a fair referendum on this issue, not more then 10% of population is going to back you. So stay cool coz in democracy a donkey and a horse have equal rights…..

The minorities are worse than third-class citizens in the country, and the despicable Blasphemy Law is hanging like a Damocles’ sword over their hapless necks.
This is true with 80% population of Pakistan, so why fuzz only about minorities? By all means they have equal opportunities. Infect more then others with the entire quota they have in political system.

Shaukat Aziz is the creature of the military. Period. Therefore it is a non-sequiter to expect a democratic demeanour from him.
If one take your argument in consideration, best political leader Pakistan ever produced “Zulfaqar Ali Bhutto” was a creature of military (Great son of Ayub Khan/Daddy). Is it going to shadow what he did for Pakistan?? If not then what’s wrong Shujat being puppet of military, if he can deliver some positive change for Pakistan??

Shaukat Aziz`s speech was cliché’-ridden, devoid of substance, credibility and conviction. It was highly disappointing for those who were looking for substantial proposals that could make an immediate difference to the lives of the ordinary people.
For that we really need to dig oil wells in Pakistan, by any other mean he is not having a magic stick which can turn things overnight. Even for stable economies five year period is a blink of eye… and you are asking to deliver overnight changes in a hardly struggling economy??

Although you put all the ingredients in this article to claim your sudo-intellectualism (secularism/banging Islam, Minority rights, curse the military etc….) but what the heck you are trying to say??
