allowing the pinky cat in the chicken coop
the occupying army must be in the loop?
with one swoop he yanked the beards out of the soup
paving way for handle-bar to once again scoop

Is this another Alien sequel? I ask
``The b*tch is back!`` say some people--
Perhaps some amongst her fans will bask.
Pakistanis--poor, downtrodden, screwed
By her `saviours`--the faujis led by the General.
Mullahs, nawabs, feudals, sharifs and not-so sharifs
--Will no one ever take these criminals to task?

Asif in jail was a burden on Pakistani Tax Payers as way - anyhow what I know of PPP and we had close links with some of the top PPP leaders , they wanted that Zardari dies in Jail or remains in jail - for PPP vote bank to grow specially in Sind - anyhow ,
I think the authour ( Adul Naeem ) is either another Pir - or Mush himself - one of these people who knows everything - whatever happens I think BB and Mushraff would be the best combination in the intrest of Pakistan .

Well, if the people want him & her back, then that`s also called democracy.

I think Pakistan and Pakistanis need to be prepared for some of the pros and cons of being able to throw rulers out (as well as bring them back) that goes with the territory.

One thing we do notice from here in India is that all that yip-tip from all quarters about ``riding to Delhi in a tank`` has gone for a long bath. With no more of that annoying noise from the Pakistani establishment (media, mullah and military and other inertia levels et al) suddenly Pakistan seems to have joined the other neighbouring countries we have.

In other words, they have their problems, we have ours, and we try to co-exist best.

So, if it takes him & her back in Pakistan for us to reach that stage in India, well, good for all of us, I say.

Except, ofcourse, the baba-and-baby log from Hai Saada La Villa ul Ulloos de Paris that is Lahore.

First of all i cannt understand the MMA why are they against every Govt.I don`t know wehter they show their furstration of election because they do not get even a single area to win.First they were against PPP then Muslim league and then muslim league q and then musharaf they won`t be happy untill or unless they do not get any big attention by public and i know it won`t happen. The way they want in pakistan is never gonna happened.
And about zardari he got the bail, but it won`t affect even a single peace of bit on Govt.It may cause to effect on other parties but on Govt.Because he got bail after 8 years and he will be trying to escape himself by these political issues again because his bit mistake can make him back where he was.Because he just got the bail he is not realeased properly.

hmm except for the fact that the indian army has never come close to seizing power in india, the political scenario in Pakistan is remarkably familiar...lets see corrupt political leaders with a lineage of (dynastic) corruption, political associations in name of religion, ethnic strife... the large majority of the population is illiterate, a fair degree go hungry, and everybody knows the politicians are screwing them and yet they will spend a fair part of the day discussing them, arguing over them or like yours truly, writing about them. sigh.... as two entities, india and pakistan have a lot more similar than culture and history alone, even our present (and our future) is similiar.

Right from the time of independence, Pakistan’s political history has been one of Machiavellianism, deceit, subterfuge and manipulation. Starting from Liaquat Ali Khan, stories of palace intrigue have abounded. Greedy men vying for power have destroyed the country and its institutions, with the result that chaos and anarchy have ruled Pakistan for much of its existence. I wonder why Pakis were looking forward to anything different now. After all, Mushy has proved to be the master of deception as he showed the MMA, first by enlisting their support on the LFO in return for quitting the COAS’s post by the 31st of December, and now refusing to doff his uniform.

Déjà vu’? You bet.

At least one can claim the satisfaction that the interacts hitherto have been as meaningless as the article itself.

Naeem,
Any Pakistani would agree with your optimism based on the two reasons that seem correct.
For a long time Pakistan needed reconciliation and I hope it comes forthwith. Unlike some I find lots of meaning in all this. I pray for the best.

As sethi said....

2 decades of deliberate attempts by the Military establishment could not wipe out the Pakistan Peoples` Party...

and ...

3 decades of civilian rule could not wipe out the Military`s continuous influence in politics...

Time for both of them to join hands for Pakistan...

as true as that might be manto, it doesnt have any bearing considering that the PPP is a party full of thugs, and headed by the biggest witch. benazir is a jahil women who has no right to step back into pakistan. i mean, if this is what musharraf wants, then its better that he face the same demise that zia had in 1988.
