Harish:

just a quick welcome back friend!

...many good lines... lucid but not verbose...poignant and pregnant...you must write more often...

rgds,

That beautifully brings to mind an average, unsatisfying life. Was that the image you were going for?

Harish:

I seem to be at a loss for words to convey appreciation of good poetry...perhaps I shall just say that I hate you. Your incessant knocking of the past and shards and blood and home...yes, home. Home IS the backyard.

Did I relate to this one? Does it matter?

``Here on weekends I’ll labour
Over the vast collection of glass, my past.``

You are fortunate. Some of us have to do it 24x7. And then, what happens to skin not even thick?

Heck...you know what I am trying to say, I hope.

Hello Harish. I have exactly the same problem as Ferzana regarding the appreciation of good poetry. But at least instictively, I can tell what reads and sounds good or otherwise. And this is good. However, I do wish i could have been a lot more analytical and intelligent about my verdict. I think I`ll stick with Ferzana`s review and hope ana puts in a word or two as well for the benefit of my understanding of good poetry. Hope to see more from you.

rgds,
NfP

HArish...there cud be so many words to define this verse, but I still think the best adjective wud be... SOUL-SEARCHING.

Thanks!

I was not aiming for anything particular other than put inchoate feelings coalesce into something that might connect to others. Though what you say is also true, n that it is an average unsatisfying life currently, hopefully it will not stay current for too long...

Mrinal;

Inshallah! and thanks.

Farzana,

I am flattered my poem had that effect on you!

Feroz,

thanks!

Nadeem,

I am glad you liked it. Poetry is finally the best combination of words that defy all pure sciences, but tingles the synapses all the same. It is wordsmith`s playing dice in an attempt to trap a fleeting moment; or a recurring nightmare!

cyma;

Thank you...i am overwhelmed!
