I am sorry that I missed this valuable observation.
I cannot stand this man anymore. Way back, I used to take his side when he was attacked from left and right. But what amazed me, in the past few months or so, was his audacity to quote without even knowing the current information and the stubbornness to stick to his prophetic sayings. Doa chantae! To give an example, he would quote imaginary numbers on pakistani women in corporate america by attending ikka dukka events in his vicinity. That should be an indicator of the validity of his data. In addition to that, it should tell you that how well informed and well read this guy is. His thought process is simply imbalanced. To cover that up, he proudly hammers on the concepts of rationality. Rationality, my foot! No doubt he deserves proper beating. I am glad his wife is taking care of that on behalf of Chowk. No woman in her right mind would tolerate stubbornness and shameless lies in a man. We all make mistakes and we all are capable of making mistakes. This is part of being human. But you need to admit that you made a mistake. By not admitting your mistake and adding fluff to go around in circles, you are showing how damn weak you are! By the way, last I checked, the religion has allowed this provision for women to beat the hell out of men with the above curse. After all, women have to worry about the rest of the mankind. Both science and religion fall under their wings :)

Re: # 125 (ZahraJ),
No it`s just plain Urdu (can`t speak Punjabi though I love the language, and wouldn`t write anything in French because most people here wouldn`t understand). ``Cheeta laga hua hai tu`` = ``you are acting like a cheetah`` (vernacular translation). It`s not literary but it`s the way we used to speak when we lived in a hostel (yes my friends are all as uncouth and lacking in the fine skill of elegant communication as I am).
Why oh why are you bringing up my hormonal balance (or lack of it) up for discussion? No I didn`t make a mistake, I didn`t mean to say loom`ri (that`s what you want to say). And is that a not-so-thinly veiled threat in your next line for me expressing my opinion? When in your very next post (#126) you state that killing those who hold and publicize an opposite point-of-view is a vice among muslims and the tolerance of it a virtue of the west. By the way, your concern for my studies is heart-warming, don`t worry they are well under control.
Irfan.
PS: It really is very adorable how you appoint yourself the arbiter of all that is reasonable and all that is not. Keep it up, love reading your posts :)
PPS: Romair, cheeta laga hua hai tu CHEETA.

World Economic Forum`s Global Competitiveness Report, 2004-2005 shows that with respect to: (i) Technological readiness, India`s rank is 26, Pakistan`s 84; (ii) Firm-level technology absorption, India is listed at 18, Pakistan at 44; and (iii) Quality of scientific research readiness, India is placed at 17, Pakistan at 94. In terms of the availability of scientists and engineers. India tops the list and Pakistan is down at 61.
All of the above data are linked to christian science. When it comes to islamic science, pakistan is on top, the most crowded place for pakistanis is quantanamo bay after karachi, some thing to do with islamisation of science.
It is important to note that there is no indian muslim in quantanamo, that is some confirmation of what the indian muslims are, and it is pathetic that pakistan should concern themselves about indian muslims.

Dear Irfan:
I was slightly confused after running into the cheetah analogy. I thought you meant loomri (chalak fox) based on the virtues of the said creature. Sorry for the misunderstanding. By the way, they are related to each other and happen to be second cousins. So the reference to loomri was not way off.
By requesting you to make a correction, I was NOT trying to influence you in anyway or shape(god forbid). You are certainly entitled to your point of view(good or bad / right or wrong), but I do not think that your motives were sincere. I think you were just trying to tick some people off by boosting the morale of your ``cheetah`` who needs to be caged for a few days till the beating is over. See if you want to boost the morale of your cheetah then you should also tolerate when someone exposes the lies of that cheetha-cum-loomri(2nd cousin).
My last comment to you was nothing but an affectionate advice. I think you are a sweet fellow and I would not like to treat you as I am ``dealing with`` the loomri - just do not irritate me. That`s not fun.
No hard feelings.

tahmad #133: The picture is a killer. Who is inside? Is it you?
I am seriously thinking of changing my nick to, ``Cheetah,`` as per Irfan`s idea...........
CHEETAH: The Cheetah`s name comes from the Sanskrit word ``chita`` meaning ``spotted one``. A cheetah has a long streamlined body, flexible spine, long legs, a long tail that acts as a rudder, an enlarged heart, large lungs and semi retractable blunt claws which aid the cats traction and turning ability at high speed. Its eyes are physically adapted for speed, enabling it to spot distant prey and follow it with pinpoint precision before racing in to kill. The cheetah has a small rounded head with a delicate skull and jaw compared with the lion and leopard.
Distinctive black stripes extend from the inner corners of the eyes to the mouth. Its coat is pale tan to a tawny gold with beautifully spotted round black markings of fairly uniform size.
A cheetah`s primary diet consists of half-gora light brown Uncle Toms (and aunt Toms) who vote for George Bush and think Christian Evangelistsa are the answer to the world`s problems. Also those who think the West should invade Pakistan to civilize it. A cheetah also preys upon individuals who present incorrect information about any ethnicity, group, religion etc. in an attempt to ridicule ohers..............

Kamran Bhai,
It is unfortunate that your profound thinking on the subject of Islamic science has been junked by anti-Muslim brigade. Please don`t get disheartened! The riff-raff who continuously raise the bogey of Islamic findamentalism are mostly supporters of Hindu, Christian or Zionist conservatism. Not for them this refreshingly new and nuanced approach to science.
You say ``Islamic Science is wed to the Islamic revelation and to the Prophetic Traditions of Muhammad (Upon Him Be Peace)``. How true! You`ve clearly defined the perimeter of modern science by bounding it within the revelation and Sunnah. The Ummah has long suffered this problem of ascertaining which science is wrong and which is right? Here you come up with an answer, any science that goes against Holy Quran and Sunnah must be debunked and the ones that pass the filter should be allowed to prosper. With pious people like you, Islam will definitely regain its lost glory.

......by the time Republic of Khalistan came into exisrence in year 2075, the religions have already succeeded influencing sciences. All of common geometric symbols were already used to distinguish sciences of one religion from the sciences of another religion. Islamic sciences were called vertical sciences, christian sciences were called triangular sciences, hindu sciences were called circular scoiences and buddhist sciences were called parabolic sciences. A joint committee of Sikh scientists, formed by the government of Khalsitan to Sikhization of sciences proposed to call it diagonal sciences.......
.......in the world conferences of sciences each religion scientists were out to prove the link between religion and scientific facts justified by their names. Muslim scientist point to unified field theory, raising finger vertically towards sky during the most uncomfortable poistion during namaz and mohammad going stright up from jerusalem to heavens to meet god as the basis of calling it vertical sciences. Chrstian scientists linked trinity, god, son and holy ghost triangle as the justification in addition to weak forces, strong forces and magnetism in the unified theory. Hindu pointed to the concept of reincarnation, circular time of universe and round shapes of heavenly bodies like sun, earth etc as justification for calling it circular sciences. Buddhists, in addition to taking the parabola word from buddhist magazine parabola, explained it through nirvana, interdependence arising as in the elliptical orbital motions of planets due to the combination of momentum of one and gravity of other. These explanations put sikh scientist into justifying calling diadonal sciences.......
....one sikh scientist, sameer singh sandalbaria aka s3, after thinking a lot, finally took the stage and pointed to prjrctile motion of urine while pee-ing standing up due to forward momentum of pee and gravitational pull of earth. Once relativity of circular motion of earth on its axis is added into projectile equation, the curve becomes diagonal..aho...he almost gave empirical proof right there in front of all......
...seeing the acceptance of diagonal sciences in the esteemed scietific community from various religion, sameer sindh sandalbaria decided to enter into the controversy over the newly discovered element # 144 in a nuclear lab on mars jointly operated by nuclear physicists from all religions. The cotroversy surrounded naming of the new element; jewish nuclear phyysicists wanted to call it josephium, christian wished to name it jesusium; hindu wanted it to be called krishnium and of course muslims wanted to call it mohammadium. just when these scientists were about to agree to call it jojemokrium using first two letters from each religions` desire, sikh scinetists proposed gobindium or at least go to be part of this new element.....
......vertical scientists seeing their proportion further diluted decided to have it all and call it mohammadium. They planned to sneak out from the round table coference and send in a suicide bomber to once and for all end this demand from trianglar, circular, parabolic and diagonal scientists......
.....too bad! vertical scientists, originally from Pakistan, whispered the plan in punjabi language when diagonal scientists were nearby...realizing the blunder, vertical scientists tried to woo diagonal scientists using sufi poetry which is well respected by diagonal scientists too...they proposed to drop mohammadium and gobindium and instead call it bulleyshahium once getting rid of other religions` nuclear physicists...they pointed to one line from his poetry, ``ik nuktay ich gal mukdi ae`` as a proof that he knew through wahdat-al-wujood cognition about the atom as the smallest unit of an element much before neil bohr or rutherford...
......most of the diagonal scientists were fooled by this sufi talk but sameer singh sandalbaria refused to go along with this criminal jihadic plan. He leaked the plan to others who kicked out vertical and diagonal scientists from the decision making and as a gratitude to saving their lives named the new element sameerium....aho..hor choopo gunnay

Nasruddin delivers a khutbah (sermon)
Once, the people of The City invited Mulla Nasruddin to deliver a khutba. When he got on the minbar (pulpit), he found the audience was not very enthusiastic, so he asked ``Do you know what I am going to say?`` The audience replied ``NO``, so he announced ``I have no desire to speak to people who don`t even know what I will be talking about`` and he left.
The people felt embarrassed and called him back again the next day. This time when he asked the same question, the people replied ``YES`` So Mullah Nasruddin said, ``Well, since you already know what I am going to say, I won`t waste any more of your time`` and he left.
Now the people were really perplexed. They decided to try one more time and once again invited the Mullah to speak the following week. Once again he asked the same question - ``Do you know what I am going to say?`` Now the people were prepared and so half of them answered ``YES`` while the other half replied ``NO``. So Mullah Nasruddin said ``The half who know what I am going to say, tell it to the other half`` and he left!

Okay so Kamran Meer wants to create a branch of psychiatry to treat Islamic patients who are upset that so-called Islamic Science was not Science after all. Since such people are numerically very big so that no system of clinical psychiatry he proposes a ``movement`` somewhat like a religious movement. You are most welcome Mr Meer. Go ahead and do it if you can. But that would still not be science. Some kind of mass healing movement.
May be similar brainwave should have occured in the brain of some Neanderthal man some 100 thousand years back. 20 thousand years back it would have been too late. May be it would have prevented their extinction.

What do you mean by ``lowly Africans``? Is that how Ummahites refer to black people?
The rate at which the Ummah is degenerating, the day is not far when even the last 15 places will be occupied by Muslim countries. After all, Ummahites yearn to go back to the tribal society of 6th century Arabia.

Re: # 132 (ZahraJ),
Even if a fox and cheetah were brother/sister I would still be unable to fathom the leap of imagination it took to confuse the two. Also, you never did answer most of my questions (principally the ones regarding your bringing up my hormonal imbalance and threatening me with dire consequences should I make ``mistakes`` again).
My motives, which you brand as being insincere, are known only to me. So commenting upon them by anyone is simple conjecture. I was not trying to tick anyone off by boosting the ``Cheetah`s`` morale. He is being ganged up on by 4 or 5 people here, all I was doing was expressing my opinion that him not backing down in the face of such odds is valiant (whether his arguments have merit or not is something I don`t care to discuss). Also, when did I not tolerate someone exposing the ``lies`` of that cheetah-cum-loom`ri? You are again attributing to me something I did not say in any way, shape or form. It was you, ma`am, who did not tolerate my point-of-view.
Finally, I really don`t get how I managed to irritate you. My original post was addressed to Romair (hence the ``Romair,`` at the top of it). Yet you percieve it as an irritant that was addressed to you?
Irfan.
