Hey, this story is racier than the hapless romance in `Star Wars`.Though, methinks this is a rehashed version of a Reader`s Digest short story on sexual abuse.Who cares?.Let us take a moment to remember the victims of the Karachi mosque shooting and the subsequent burnings. Was it a McDonald`s or a KFC that was burnt to the ground?.

ana, since when have Chowk interactions been bound 100% to the subject of the article? ? Urstruly asked the looney liberals a very good question.
Now since you are the looniest of the liberals here we would be grateful if you`d please stopping faffing around and answer the bleedin` question.
Thanks.

Tahmed!
Lucky me! I am not on Dionysus list!
(from today on I am a Islam pasand!)
I do have a question though. Werent Adam and Amaan Hawas children having sex with each other? I guess they get exception from incest. Special people.

Temp, ana, & anyone else who still cares:
Inspired by Beejs post #219 I was reading up on education, counseling and rehabilitation of the perpetrators. Of course I say lets just kill the scum but then thats just meand in the spirit of humoring Beej. Khair.it turns out that the recidivism rate among sex offenders is substantial and so some U.S. states, amid much uproar from the ACLU, have mandated chemical castration.
I was wondering, does anyone know what penalties if any there are in the Pakistan (or South Asia) court system for sex offenders? Sorry, but I am really unaware of this and would appreciate some enlightenment on the issue from anyone. I cant remember if it was brought up in a previous post.

no, if you want to avoid obfuscation, then kindly read what this article is about again. i had already given my views earlier about incest. this is a story about childhood sex abuse, and this is mainly what we have been talking about.
i`m not going to be baited by people calling me liberal loony and again i`m not turning this into an if incest is not okay than homosexuality should not be either, because i`m not judging what two adults choose to do with their lives. we were trying to stick to the issues in this story. . . and if y`all want to push your homophobic agenda here than that`s your trip, but let me remind you what this story is about again:
It was late at night and Sara lay in her bed thinking about Shakeel, his love filled promises and soul shattering nocturnal visits.
Her heart was thumping and while reciting all the duas she had memorized, tugging at her night gown, she was fervently hoping that he does not visit her that night. As the minutes turned into an hour she sighed, a tiny smile escaped her lips and she murmured to herself, `Sara dont worry, you are safe tonight.` She drifted off to uncomfortable sleep fearful of the familiar sounds of the ominous footsteps.
She woke up to the gentle stroking on her arm and hushed voice calling her name nudging her to move so Shakeel could slip behind her in bed. Sara felt a tear escape her eye feeling let down by God for not listening to her prayers tonight. No! Please dont! Please! She sobbed as he put his hands around her and whispered in a hushed voice, Dont cry honey, I am here and I love you, its ok! Dont worry, I am here, he kept repeating as his hands drifted all over her body making her cringe with a revulsion she did not know how to even name.
She closed her eyes and started thinking of ways to make it stop and how to tell someone, anyone? But what will she say? Nobody will believe her? Sara could feel his hands touching, probing, caressing, making her feel sick and nauseated. . .
we don`t have to be bloody f ucking liberal loonies to see that something is really wrong with this picture.

no, t, if you want to see some samples of `diversionary obfuscation, just check out the last 250 posts by amrita, ana, miriamk, hamdim, lund ka topa tahmed and of course your good self. I commend Raw Dust for trying to answer the question and salute Urstruly for setting so many looney liberal chaddis on fire.

mr. romair`s overintellectualization reminds me of an ``intellectual discussion`` on sex two civil service probationers (one male one female) heatedly were having in lahore many years ago (while the rest of us stood around interestedly listening). the guy was aggressively trying to convince the female future government official that sex between consenting adults outside marriage is OK. The female was desperately using her debating skills to debumk this idea: it was so funny watching because she was so desperately trying to win th argument with references to aflatoon and aristoo and what not it appeared that if she lost the intellectua argument she would be obliged to go to bed with the scoundrel (the latter is now a senior govt official i hear).

Thank you, Raw Dust, for that. At last someone has tried to answer, rather than evade, Urstruly`s question. But I`m not totally satisfied with your answer. You are prepared to tolerate incest and nothing more. But looney liberals often talk about `celebrating and embracing diversity` and homosexuality is always a part of their celebrations. You often hear them justify homosexuality by claiming that there`s nothing wrong, and in fact a lot right, in a loving relationship between two adults. But where does incest fit into these celebrations? Would looney liberals celebrate a 40 year old man having consensual sexual relations with his 21 year old daughter? If not, why not? Why is homosexuality `beautiful` and something that should be celebrated but incest something only to be tolerated?

dionysus:
State has no right to regulate sexual mores of its citizens. This is a standard assertion and it Does (if not) should extend to consenting adults of the same family. I may not like it(for whatever reason) but this fact should have no bearing on the ones who might choose to go incestuous.
Hope this answers your query.
