Re: # 48

``Let me tell you, every third or fourth decent(a little expensive) restaurant in karachi and almost every second one in lahore and islamabad has beer to sell. ``

Just curious:
Is it legal?
Can only non-muslims buy it? In that case, do you have to prove that you are not a muslim.

Long time back I read that the few alcohol companies that operate in pak have a only a non-muslim clientele.

Re: # 41

``Whoever created Pakistan did the right thing. If only they could manage peaceful population transfers - everything would have been juuuuusssst perfect. ``

I think Jinnah was in favor of peaceful transfer of population along the Greek-Turk exchange process. Thats why I would ask Pakistanis to honor the wishes of their leader and open their doors to the indian muslims eg in case Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, the lafanga from Bhendi Bazaar.

Re: # 49
Well supposedly yeah, only non-muslims can buy it. But do you really think this is what happens?
In pak I think only 10% alcohol is drained down some non-muslim throats, rest of the 90% drinkers start with bismillah and end the shot with alhamdulillah ;)

last time i was there the black label went for 3 grands.

by the way: i think Pak. was created by an Equipoise character gone horribly mad drunk and lost all ideas about poise per se ... no wonder indulging in a little merry libation is soooooo not unbanned in the Islamic Republic.

And you fcukers set fire to the train first without pillaging it.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.... will you retards EVER learn?

Ref dullabhatti #38

[I have no doubt in my mind that if India were to stay one piece in 1947, Muslims would have, if not totally ruled India, at least would have dictated major policies and laws. There powers in 1947 were curtailed by partition.]

If Pakistan was never separated and we had a 40% Muslim population in India, Indian Muslims would be on a plane to Mecca during Haj season! At a nice discount on the airfare subsidized by the Government of India.

Oops, that is already happening with a 15% Muslim population! I shudder to think what 40% would have brought!

Re: # 27 (Charlie),

Yaar, forget that. I just read your ilog entry on the ``Statistics of flirting``. I was laughing so hard I damn near got a cramp in my stomach, specially the last sentence (I almost fell off my chair) ``Sachant qu`un homme sur 10 est homosexuel et que tous les pédés sucent, il vaut mieux s`adresser à un mec``.

Where did you find this gem?

Irfan.

This article asks right questions. British had the policy of divide and rule otherwise they would have never controlled Indian subcontinent.
People blame Jinnah, Gandhi & Nehru but British were also equally responsible for partition.

Our history books in school may not lie but do not tell us the truth either. There is nothing outlandish about british not being responsible for partition or playing Jinnah against Congress.

Re: # 33
harimau you said “Post-August-1947 events were nothing but a continuation of the British policy of consolidation of power over the subcontinent that was temporarily interrupted in 1857 and suspended indefinitely in 1858….”

Reply: You mean to say that the present land known as India did not got its independence in 1947 rather remained a British colony with British agenda…well said! So when did you got independence for you may say that after Britian it was Soviet control and now USA, I guess?

harimau: ”No, Jinnah and Pakistan would have gotten East Punjab, West Bengal and Assam and then would have either converted the Hindus there by force or expelled them. Also, Jinnah had the brilliant idea of using the Hindu population of Pakistan as hostages for good treatment of Muslims left behind In India. “

If the East Punjab, West Bengal and Assam would have become Pakistan, there would have been peaceful settlement, very few killings and Hindus would have been prosperous in Pakistan like those in Sindh, and Sikhs would have avoided operation Blue Star or 1984 mass killings. The minorities killing on mass scale only happens in India not Pakistan. When the late Pope John Paul landed in Pakistan, he kissed the land and said it is one of the few countries where minorities are protected.

harimau: “Man, what a nut case!”

Please mind your language.

My take at this Pakistani mafiaso called Dawood-

I would ask all those Indians who have been threatened by this Paki mafiaso to pool in their expected payoff money and give it to some ex-armymen to raise a squad of assasins to exterminate this mafiaso pest from Pakistan-

even if a group of 6-7 Indians could come together and pool in 10 lacs each all that would be sufficient to raise a group of vigilante to exterminate Dawood right in his own pureland............................

Re: # 52

You sure it ain`t root beer?.Just kidding!!.A bottle of Kingfisher or any other brand of desi beer is available at one`s neighborhood liquor store for 54 rupees.A quarter of McDowell scotch 125/- and that`s a premium brand.Prices vary at bars/pubs and discos depending on the location and state(taxation).Pondicherry on the east coast and Goa on the west coast are tax free alcohol territories.Daman and Diu service the Gujjus, `cause Gujarat is the only alcohol free state.Liquor stores generally close at midnight and are open sundays after 1pm in many states.

Mr Ballu

It is that mafiaso that has prevented another anti muslim pogrom in bombay after the 92-93 riots in which thousands of the indian muslims you weep for were wiped out.

The bomb blasts showed the other player in the local game that there would be repercussions to baring the machettes. They continued to talk of muslims with hatred after the blasts but this time the disdain was replaced with fear.

the reason every body and his uncle was pulling out foetuses in gujrat was that they knew there would be no repercusions.

by the way Dawood got no personal gain from the blasts, he was very comfortably ruling the mumbai underworld before the blasts. Thus muslims of bombay are rightly grateful to him for having sacrificed his comfort for their security.

adios.

Who gives a damn. They have their country and we have ours. But there`s minor matter of IMs who couldnt reconcile with the situation. Minor cos only a small minority of IMs dont think of India as their country. Even UP and Bihar, states which gave Muslim League its initial momentum during independence struggle, now have Mulayam and Laloo protecting the interests of minorities. Not to mention Kerala where Muslim league and Congress are ``natural allies`` against the Marxists.

What I mean is India has at least answered the fundamental questions on identity and the idea of nation-state. So we have a multi-enthic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural, multi-party anarchy-total chaos. Ideal receipe for disaster and disintegration for any other nation on earth, but it`s perfect for India.

What about Pakistan? Who gives a damn..

Cheers
