I don`t know about a constitution, but I have prepared a new national anthem (because very few Pakis understood the old one):
Hum Punjabi, hum heN Sindhi, hum Balochi, hum Pathan
Dai dai dai dai dagh dagh dan
Pakistan Pakistan Pakistan Pakistan
Kangha tera maang hamari, juti teri meri shaan
Dai dai dai dai dagh dagh dan
Pakistan Pakistan Pakistan Pakistan
The second verse? Same as the first.
Now, one of you other guys has to write the constitution. I am tired of doing all the work by myself. :)

Hindvi #3, {``Hundreds of millions of dollars in investments are flowing from the UAE into Pakistan, the credit for which goes to Musharraf. But they rest tenuosly on his personal security.``}
To allay this fear and question of succession, Mushy should immediately find some capable Dehliwalla and designate him/her as his successor. Apparently, because of their status as residents of a long-term capital, Dilliwallas are quite adept at ruling and administration. He can`t select his own wife as ``successress.`` She hails from Lucknow, and God help us if a true Lucknowi ever runs Pakiland. :) There is no room for nazakat and sharafat in the Land of the Pure.

As we struggle with our difficult chores, let us think of others who had to struggle with theirs and could only say ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
1. Gen Arora, accepting the surrender of 93,000 enemy troops in East Pakiland - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
2. US Consul, looking at the long line of visa applicants - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
3. Bangaldeshi ambassador, looking at the long line of work permit applicants - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
4. Illegal Mexican immigrant, waiting in line to be deported - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
5. Kaura Singh RabRiwalla, distributing free recycled Indian condoms in Lahore - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
6. Confused passenger, arriving at LaGuardia Airport and seeing the long line of taxis - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
7. New Scotland Yard, looking at suicide bombing suspects at Elephant & Caste station - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
8. Besieged Al-Kayda recruiter at Paki University campus - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
9. Gen Mushy looking at the list of his own assassination suspects - ``TOO MANY PAKIS.``
10. St. Peter, at the Pearly Gates, welcoming new arrivals to heaven - ``WHERE ARE THE PAKIS?``
This should now balance my ``TOO MANY INDIANS`` list. :)

Kamal,
Very balanced and informative report card on Mushy`s performance. I join you in wishing Gen. Musharraf a ``Happy Birthday.`` Considering where Pakistan was in 1999 and where it could have gone in 2001, Mushy deserves an A+ for his commendable performance in steering the ship of Pakistan through many many icebergs. Of course, the law and order situation, rampant inflation, nonstop sectarian violence, and Punjabi hegemony are all issues that need to be tackled firmly and fairly.
Between the awful choices of a return to the 7th century as desired by the Tally Bans and a return to the more awful 1990s in a Bhutto/Sharif free for all food fight for corruption and looting, Mushy`s six years don`t look bad at all. May Allah protect us from the ``democracy`` of the self-serving ``pseudo-liberal progressive Pakis`` who want to come back and loot Pakistan of what is left. Too bad, we can`t have a French Revolution in Pakistan to rid us of this less than noble ``oligarchy`` of brown aristocrats.
Good article and thanks.
